Someone please come fetch their screeching child from across the street.
I have started Crusader Kings 3.
I may be some time.
My partner shares stories of her playthrough but doesnât always tell me the context so occasionally sheâll just send âI got gout : (â
Donât know CK3, but CK2 atleast is where you spend 30 years making a really cool viking lady, rise through the ranks of the warrior society, get ready to go on a legendary journey.
As itâs 95% done you die randomly from dysentry.
I think I need to massively adjust my expectations of timescale; Iâm always nervous cranking the time speed up to maximum, but certainly at the start of the game thereâs just⌠very little to interact with, once Iâve queued a few things up?
Iâm a Poor
Edit: Also, good grief, Warhammer has as many leaks as a sieve these days.
Letâs just say that fans of a certain broken planet and of RAGE will be likely very happy
Edit Edit: And, regardless of my opinion on him, Starmer getting cleared of âBeergateâ while Boris gets the boot? Lol. Lmao, even.

I saw this so now I must inflict it
(itâs not very cursed. just a little cursed. a minor hex)
Reads like a place somewhere in the UK.
I didnât realise the little squeak I love them
She makes me want to take a loan from the Carta
The cursed plastic must die!
Tried to go back to CK2 a couple of months agoâit has some really cool conversion mods that 3 doesnât have yetâand I couldnât manage it. Too used to the smooth interface of CK3 now. :((
To be fair, the Qun is so alien and repulsive to the people of Thedas (and to us) that making the player character of a video game with meaningful choices a Qunari whoâs actually part of the Qun would require vastly different dialogue and probably wouldnât be fun to play for many, if not most, players.
I suspect that most players who said âI want to play a Qunariâ prior to Inquisitionâs announcement really meant âI want to play one of those big horned peopleâ rather than âI want to play someone who follows the Qunâ.
Nitpicker's corner
If youâre That Person, then you could say that technically, the Qunari Inquisitor is not a Tal-Vashoth, but a Vashoth. They didnât leave the Qun, rather they were born outside of the Qun and never were part of it in the first place.
An actual pet-peeve (for Dragon Age):
There are people out there who believe Blackwall isnât the best companion. I can only hope I see my beloved Warden bro/sometimes husband return in DA4 either as a character in Weisshaupt or as a companion we can take along with us again. I will hear no slander against Blackwall.
I can understand someone not picking Blackwall as their favorite companion if their favorite companion is, say, Solas.
Personally I donât have a single favorite companion. The companions, to me, are one of the best written parts of the game if not the best written part. And theyâre all good. If I had to give my least favorite companion, it would probably be either Vivienne (for being annoying and contrarian to my idealistic, âbest outcome for most peopleâ Inquisitor) or Cole (because, being [DATA EXPUNGED], he doesnât offer any valuable insight on any of the known cultures of Thedas, and I didnât find his personal conflict that interesting).
But Blackwall is indeed one of my favorite companions, and one of the best written ones. In the end, I gave him the outcome I thought he would want.
I just want to ally with the rebel mages and then declare them all Saarebas 3:
Itâs the trouble that Inquisitor Qunari is basically just a human with horns, because the Qun is as alien to you as it is to everyone else and you canât ever join. You are right in that an in-qun-sition would require a lot of changes but thatâs the issue with playable Qunari at all.
I canât think about Sera without thinking of the severe whitewashing they did for her and how extremely weird it is that she has the vibe of a teenager but is a romance option

look at this furiosa makeup. the visibly non-human appearance. this is what they took from us
of how much I hate her.
I am strongly in favour of Varric as the best companion because heâs often the one who brings out the best parts in other companions. Heâs the glue that binds them all together, but Blackwall and Iron Bull make up rest of the blessed trinity. I also ponder Vivienne, as controversial as that might be in the fandom.
I had a friend who was very much an adult, older than me, and yet spoke (and sometimes acted) like Sera to the point of sharing some of her vocabulary.
Sera is an adult. An immature adult, but an adult nonetheless. Consider Elan from Order of the Stick. At the start of the story, he is, to put it mildly, not very bright and makes poor decisions, and he does some childish things, but nonetheless takes responsibility for himself and the narrative treats him as the adult he is, including him entering a romantic relationship with Haley.
What do you mean by the word âwhitewashingâ in this context?
