Pet peeves: The return (Part 3)

the best part about dragon age is that the early marketing for origins was leaning into being really brutal and metal. heavy use of marilyn manson

they paired it back a bit later but they were clearly going for edgy and alternative for their RPG

Ooooorrrrrr https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MVqdYcbDp8 which always builds up hype especially in RP battle playlists.

Never heard this before. I might wait until I’ve finished the game though

Literally just a fan song for Inquisition with no spoilers afaik in it. Only using promotional stuff for footage.

The Origins trailer is so much early 2000’s edge.

It’s a curious mix of incredibly cringy/still kinda fun. (And before the music kicks in, honestly pretty cool)

I like the zones that focus on the Dalish, so I could prepare myself to side with Briala when I see firsthand everything the sh*mlens inflicted on the people.

Name those zones, I don’t think I’ve seen any of them yet.

Many congratulations to you and your employer for securing you.

Exalted Plains, Emerald Graves.

They went and hired Corvus Corax for the Warden song which, considering when they did it, was pretty strange for a non-German speaking company

But tbh they could go and hire them for more soundtrack again

Congratz! May you be blessed with plenty of enjoyment and wealth :moneybag:

I think I have enough power that I could unlock them both and wander in, but I might wait until the story necessitates that I go there. I know Solas wants me to go and find a spirit friend of his in one of them.

I know the story has you go there if the Red Templars are the baddies not the mages

to the Emerald Graves, that is

They are. Mages are never baddies.

Templars always are.

still slaps.

origins stood the test of time imo, been doing a new playthrough on it as a casteless dwarf warrior.

“nooooo mages are evil, were pure and true. now give me my lyrium needle or ill skin your entire family.”

I’ve only sided with the Templars once or twice. They have some interesting stuff to them, but I prefer allying the mages, not only because it’s right but because of the stuff that comes with it.

The Red templars are a more compelling main enemy than the Venatori(Regardless of who you pick, you fight both, but one side becomes the main enemy). I also like Samson more as a second villain than Calpernia.

The Templar quest however is pretty cool and lets you meet a unique enemy that is interesting. But that is about it.

Calpernia is much better than some hobo templar from Kirkwall wtf

She is cool, but I just like Samson more. Mainly because you can get Cullen and Dagna involved with him as well.

oh also dorian’s dad apparently tried to blood magic him straight which was a dark revelation i got hit with yesterday

i dare someone to try and come in here justifying blood magic again

using blood magic to pray the gay away is bad.

using blood magic for normal stuff is ok.
