doktor, turn off my horny inhibitors

Depending on where you dig they’re a dime a dozen. It’s often those with a chemically delay for the impact reaction that just didn’t end up happening at all. People keep worrying about having to speed up getting rid of them, apparently it’s more likely they explode now because of rust weakening the mechanism.

Best horror method together with “mysterious reasons for what’s happening” imo. Like, either don’t openly show my the monster at all until later or make it a case of escalating “wtf is happening” like in Dead Space for example.
I’ve watched “The Ritual” a couple years back and while I really didn’t care much about the human storylines, I’m very invested in Moder thanks to her design and the way the film shows her off in traditional monster delay <3

No :I

cut my thumb open a can.

Wtf did I just watch?

Also, on a further movie/series related peeve:

Apparently Youtube thinks that me being a bit critical of movies/series nowadays means that I like American right-wing conservatives now. It began with watching videos about Netflix’s the Witcher. Now I keep getting videos recommended to me from a doofus named Ryan Kinel. And good god man, apart from the fact that I despise most of the things american conservatives stand for, the man can just -not- talk normal. They have to constantly shout and sound outraged to make their point and I am just like “The worst part is is that it apparently works well enough to make a whole channel out of it.”

Tl;dr, Youtube should stop thinking that being critical of nowadays productions = liking american right-wing conservatives.

Meanwhile, I’m fond of most people in their own way and hope my days of obsessives plotting against me over fabulist hate-fiction are far behind me.

American conservatives have made an industry out of outrage media “criticism” while demonstrating that they’re media illiterate, but that doesn’t matter because daddy greenbacks feeds a lot of it for propaganda purposes.

What’s daddy greenbacks mean? Is it another name for money, or?

But yeah, that is one thing that really bothers me. You can be an unabased, lying twit, but apparently you can make millions with that ( See Alex Jones, even if he thankfully got what he deserved).

It’s cold/snowing in Scotland.
Good thing I have the docs tomorrow, cos my lungs are really not happy with the cold, AND my joints are aching :frowning: Genuinely think I have Long Covid, cos it’s just… I used to go skiing, years and years without a single darn issue.
Now I feel like I’m made of glass…

Yeah I’m pretty tired of typing out the full extent to which old money and business interests actively fund lies, anti-science and outrage culture to divide people and convince them everything bad is fine, that there are no systemic issues other than what The Left invents and that you should keep consuming trash.

A power I harness in great margin myself as well, as you know … Don’t make me use it.

Worgen hard or hardly Worgen?

Ha. You like me.

This one actually belongs not in the peeve thread but in the positive version, but since more people read this one, Ill just post it here.

I found my old short-story of my death knight Salfalur travelling to the Witcher’s world again, I began it in 2021. But I suffered bit of a writer’s block on that one for some time, but now I feel comitted to giving it a try again!

And with that, I present to thee a question: Witcher Geraldo vs a wow death knight, how would that go?

For this particular fight: Geralt is not using potions, bombs or traps, just relying on his witcher speed, reflexes, swordmanship, magic and experience.

The Death Knight from his side has no undead minions at his disposal, knows spells from all three schools but excels in Frost. He has to rely on his sword , undead resilience, and experience ( a 3rd gen DK).

They both encounter one another for the first time.

Second question: The runic power that death knights use for their magic, which powers their armor and weapon, does that recharge on it’s own or how does that get replenished?

There’s always an element of ‘whoever wins a fictional fight is whoever the writer decides wins’ but Geralt in particular does have experience fighting and killing Wild Hunt riders, who resemble frost death knights surprisingly closely - for that reason I’d give the edge to the witcher.

My peeve today is companies never giving a time of release with their release dates - getting excited to play a new DLC only to find out I need to wait for another 9 hours before it unlocks (and possibly longer to download it first) stinks
