Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

Think I tried reading the manga for this one, but I didn’t get into it. Which is strange, because I’ve devoured a lot of yuri manga.

(I will look at the rest of your list in a bit)

“Oh I love yuri” says the person who refuses to watch the yuri gundam series.

Have you at least watched Utena?

no fair, I’ve only seen like 4 animes

and one of them was neon genesis which my partner bullied me into watching

Why would I watch something that came out before 2000, I’m not a pensioner

you will be one day

okay, that’s a good start, next on your list:

2000 wasn’t that long ago, it was only

To whom it may concern, Coca Cola was invented 11 years before Dracula by Bram Stoker. It would be historically authentic to the time period for Dracula to be drinking Coca Cola in an adaptation.

Let me see Van Helsing absolutely wired up on classic Coca Cola that was still made with Colombian marching powder.

I can see dracula being absolutely allergic to coke because they still to this day (apparently0 use it to clean blood off the streets in New York.

Inbetween WoW and Red Dead Redemption 2 I decided to pick up Hearts of Iron 4 again. I still suck at the game, and this time I decided to play Ethiopia to try and keep Mussolini out of my house. It’s not going well :frowning:

I’m pingponging between WoW, RDR2, art and I have Elden Ring sitting here staring at me
I need less time intensive hobbies ;_;
Almost done with dream catchers though, rock carvings are done, bandit and gambling challenges have been declared to be epilogue content because I don’t need my honour then…

I managed to do it all except for horseman and herb 9, since those two you can only complete in the epilogue… but damn, my poor Arthur seems to be perpetually stuck in the middle honor-wise. Still, am in chapter 4 only so I got enough opportunities to raise it again towards the end.

Would you like to know more?

Strange considering John is the middle child.
I could get it back up easily even after busting out all bandit things since I’m in ch3 but … can’t be bothered.
Also it’s almost time to get shot in the shoulder and take a short walk in town and I’m really not ready to go for a walk yet : (

I’d like to know at what point we took a perfect satire of fascism, missed the entire joke and clung white knuckled to the gaudy propaganda.

It is charming, though.

I forgot Terra Nil released its full version on Steam today.
My evening has been salvaged by adorable top-down restoration of a river valley and a tropical island biomes, from barren wasteland to thriving greenery, with not even a trace of the machinery, I used to do it

If Neil Patrick Harris’s uniform in Starship Troopers didn’t clue some people on to this fact then I don’t think anything would have made them realise it’s meant to be making fun of fascism.

Fun movie in a similar vein to Death of Stalin though. I like it when movies make satire out of tyrannical governments to highlight how absurd and stupid it all is once you lift the veil.

The story of how the film got made is a wild one, if you take the time
