I was raised religiously too, and I do still consider myself christian even if not widely practicing. It’s more of a personal spiritual thing for me & do not expect others to share it or even preach for them about it.
I think christians having open-mindness, tolerance and acceptance is vital(Especially so since there is a long history of the exact opposite from Christianity & changing that is important) & to let those who do not share the same or even any religious views at all speak freely & do things like criticize, poke fun or jab at it.
When it comes to the holidays aswell, for me personally its more of the family and traditions that are important to me.

Respecting someone’s beliefs is one thing. I do find many religious folk (and sometimes non-religious people weirdly enough) take this to an extreme though, like the aforementioned catholic example, where an incredibly basic joke is construed as an attack on catholics everywhere akin to abusing LGBT people which is as funny as it is sad and reeks of American Limbaugh culture spill. If there was one institute that deserves mockery from time to time, the Catholic Church is definitely up there.

You mean institution, and that’s not really the point. Aldru was complaining about being flagged and clearlu someone flagged him because they were upset by his comment. That’s it. That’s all. The joke was crass, and someone disliked it. This can happen with any subject people take seriously, including LGBT, so I don’t get why people are acting so flabbergasted. Or Aldru trying to weirdly justifying his behavior by saying he doesn’t care about people’s feelings.
Also I seem ti have inadvertently summoned the PCU by mentioning them, which I apologise for. Wait, they’re agreeing with me? They came to my defense? Am I the drone master now? Is P no longer the Queen?

It works differently with classic posters, it doesn’t show their messages at all anymore, not even hidden. Unless that is some forum bug.
