Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

That never happened in Kingmaker, but on my second trap in WotR I did notice that they care less about traps. Probably because the traps are a little more than just ‘haha click on red polygon and forget’ now…

My current peeve with WotR is just the camera movement. I got used to moving the camera around with Scroll Wheel, and granted it had its own problems (moving right after quick saving was A PEEVE, thankfully quicksaving takes microseconds in WotR not 10 full seconds), but at least I could move around fast.

Maybe it’s the RTS spirit in me, but I hate moving the camera with WASD and it’s so slow too. Maybe there’s an option to increase camera scrolling speed with mouse/WASD… :weary:

Yeah the WotR traps are definitely an improvement in (theoretical) design to Kingmaker’s, in that disarming them usually requires minor navigation to get to the disarm point, but alas, their pathfinding did not keep up with it.

More like poor pathfind-

[I am pulled off stage by a comically large shepherd’s crook]

Another peeve of WoTR is that the combat music seems to be (at least in the beginning) only Epic!!! Orchestral!!! Music!!!

while i’m literally fighting an oversized bug

Granted when I do that in the summers in my house I do like to imagine it as a Big Boss Fight too, but in game it really doesn’t warrant that. I hope it gets better :sob:

Do people adjust the darkness setting when games prompt them to?

I did it like twice ever and both times it made the game too hard to properly see stuff so now I just always leave it on default.

Every game with a regular basic combat music should also make a comical version of it for when it’s small enemies or you’re really overlevelled. Maybe with kazoos.

I made Bloodborne brighter because I really couldn’t see anything at some points.

Speaking of darkness: Been running around underground in Zelda. Slowly turning the lights on down there. And, more importantly, collecting Poes.
Give me the edge lord armour, merchant.

Doing every sidequest in the game just to unlock the kazoo theme of the endboss.

Peeve: I really don’t like Zelda’s current horse riding theme. It’s so ugh. Can’t wait until I got the battery to make the hover bike useful.

My edge lord armour is too strong for you, traveler.

I shove a bunch of glowy boys into his stone face and he instantly stops caring

Mail only? Clearly a mistake.

Suffer well…

The best Elder Scrolls game is on sale for a good price of €3.74 on steam and I think people should pick it up

Finished watching Breaking bad + El Camino.

It was worth a watch, most certainly.

I give it a solid 9/10. It’s not my absolute all time favorite serie, but definitely very high on the list. Next, better call saul!

How is it that there are so many fictional characters out there wearing butt capes for years and yet no fashionista seems to have coined a semi-officially accepted term for it.

I’ve no idea if they historically existed or if they were just made up because character designers thought they look cool (they 100% do) but for the life of me I cannot find anyone who’s come up with a satisfying term to describe them other than butt cape which makes it very hard to put into writing a character description where they have one.

Waist cape is marginally better but still feels a bit mundane.

That’s not how you spell The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition

They are a type of breechcloth/loincloth.

you call it a loincloth in text and people are gonna imagine something different

If Morrowind is so good then how come they never made a Morrowind 2.
