Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

But having a body lets you physically interact with the world! Imagine how nightmarish it would be if you could perceive the world and were powerless to affect it in any way, and nobody could see or hear you.

Waitaminute-

Just staring down the looming century of crisises, determined to make the most of it!

How would you though? You can’t affect the world at all, just stare.

Good god, no wonder Sauron wanted that ring back so badly, given how he ended up.

Independent of disembodied thought experiments, I’m just pointing out this is exactly what’s going on; the vast majority of us being powerless to affect the course of history as we spiral as a species. But that’s no excuse not to treasure each day and enjoy what time we have and working toward positive ends in what small ways we may.

why does the just ken song go so damn hard

Saw Barbie today

I finally feel Kenough

I saw it yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was.

Tried Baldurs Gate on my actual PC and it looks so much better that I really don’t want to play it on Steam Deck

because there’s a chip of truth in it

i take back my praise for baldurs gate on pc. it crashes after like 10-15 minutes of play with no discernable reason

I have about 12 hours on one of my personal play through and have had no issues.
My co-op one was a bit choppy but is healthy now. But no crashes either way.

Had a few bugs here and there but no crashes. Yet. Just reached act 2.

I’d absolutely buy a Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House playset

How long have you been at it?

That’s the right Kenergy

26 hours or so, accordingly to my save file timer, though I expect probably a little longer with reloading when things go catastrophically bad.

I’ve had one crash, but I also felt like it was at a time my PC was extra stressed about the game and much was happening. I’m also on a very low end PC by today’s standards.

I wouldn’t be surprised if my crash was due to some memory problems or whatnot, but I’m surprised I’ve only had one crash so far too.

Aside from a few bugs ranging from humorous (an npc disappearing during dialogue and then rapidly sliding through all terrain back into position while t-posing) to annoying (camera getting stuck over a roof and not despawning it when indoors), performance was good on my end with a few setting tweaks. On the other hand, my wife was having frequent and quite severe frame drops when moving around at certain locations, worst of all so far in thr goblin camp.

We haven’t had a single crash yet, though.
