Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

Yeah I’ve had those too - which I again chalked up to just maybe like, prolonged gameplay on my poor PC. I tend to notice that when I turn my camera around, after longer periods of gaming it gets very choppy.

Mine seems to run buttery smooth in this first beach area. Turning off the Steam overlay seems to have resolved the crashing fortunately.

Her pc is pretty powerful with rtx 3060 (or 70?) So I think the game just has some optimisation problems with some hardware on top of your weaker hardware.

I had some real bad frame rate issues at Waukeen’s Rest with all the fire going on. It wasn’t unplayable, but it was definitely rough.

Yeah we thought as much that the fire is the culprit.

I had one crash so far, when fighting a certain boss goblin. Think that area can be a little unstable sometimes but otherwise no issues at all.

Still not touched it yet, been running around doing odd jobs that ive put off for a while.

Hopefully tonight. :face_exhaling:

Hang a mirror.
Finish caulking the skirting boards.
Touch up painting on the walls.

Summer holidays are not a holiday. :pensive:

Lost half an hour of progress because Gale blew up a quest item with a fireball and I had to reload.

It was definitely his fault, and not me, who chose to cast fireball at that spot. Nope, all him.

Ran into the frame rate issues with the smoke.
Also ran into a bunch of Goblins. Only the frame rate issues remain.

An unusually common problem with him.

When the fat one out of the Godskin Duo spawns in 20 seconds after we killed the skinny one for round 2 and me, Bernarl and Dungeater are waiting for him.

Debating with myself wether or not I want to grab the German DF collector’s, since I cannot find an english edition that isn’t upsold massively or pick-up only in the UK (I can’t go pick up from DK damnit).

The troubles of friends slowly convincing you to come back to WoW :pensive:

wish he’d stop blowing himself up and start blowing m–

i mean, stop blowing up.

Anyway, I killed the Phase Spider Matriarch without dropping her into the chasm because apparently the loot is super mega duper OP on a beta patch, and I didn’t wanna risk it in case it still is currently, but… I didn’t get exp from the kill. >:(

I guess being creative with killing the webs is also considered easy mode (and pushing her into chasm is ultra easy mode), but at least you get exp from the latter…

I got a robe which was okay.

What race/class did everyone go for in BG3? I’ve bitten the bullet and it’s (slowly) downloading now, so curious to hear people’s choices spoiler-free

I haven’t tested it yet, but in EA / before Patch 9 (don’t know if that fixed/nerfed it or not)´, was OP in 2022 at least) it gave all your spells like d4 Poison Damage, but y’know… did it for each missile, so Magic Missile would get a d4 for each individual missile.

Which is bonkers OP obviously. Do you know if this works like that now?

Half-Elf Druid (of the Land). Really gives me the Nera feel from WoW, since you can just bonk people in the face with Shillelagh cantrip and there’s a bunch of other plant-like spells that is reminiscent of Nera’s vine-trickery I loved to do in RP.

I love the customization for hair btw, you can use highlights and graying to give yourself a lot of options. Graying isn’t restricted to going white/gray, can be any colour:

Did u try to make a Nera parallel or do you just generally prefer playing those kinda druids

Nera parallel sorta-kinda, at least in terms of archetype. I felt like Nera in RP was relatively unique so I’ve been trying to do that in other games.

If I play BG3 again I’ll probably do something different and more original, but thus far I’ve been really satisfied since Pathfinder didn’t really scratch that itch as well as BG3 has thus far.
