Although small races tend to get in first.
May I interest you in a Githyanki? Not exactly a goblin, but they’re space goblins to me. except instead of antisemitic greed they’re like dragon riders or something (i haven’t played enough of bg3 to actually learn who they are)

I’m by no means finished with this run, but I’m one ritual pot short and then maybe I can try to “rock” Malenia’s world?
All my weapons are maxed, I have 50 vig and near 40/40 in int and faith and the Radahn Knight is +9 (the max he’ll get this run through)
Just got to find where the last ritual pot is and make a load of frostpots.
Which incantation to use against Malenia?

Lightning does tend to be the ‘F everything in that general direction’ button for Elden Ring. Magic is good, but there’s some stuff just Nopes it.
Lightning is a bit more fickle, but stuff like the Spear of Gransax and its ash of war are like bringing a 50. cal to a knife fight >:3

Projectiles get dodged easily by elden ring’s input reading AI, death from above doesn’t
My shameful elden ring moment is dying to some chode mokeys because I forgot that we’re realism gamers now and a lightning strike from the sky can’t happen in a cave.

Less realism and more the logistics of how the spell works, in that it’s a projectile that comes down from above. Provided you find a big enough cave like the one with two barbarian chiefs in it that leads to dragon island, it’ll work. Otherwise, it’ll hit the ceiling
