Pet peeves: The return (Part 4)

Said she should have the power to do what she wants twice, so she murdered me.

Pfft, as if killing a mortal is that impressive. Some god-like powers she has

She’s mad because you’re doing it with insufficient flair and pageantry. Stabbing the Ilmater priest when you could drown him in spider venom using his own ritual cup and desecrating his altar with the remains of his congregation? So gauche.

BG3 early Act2 stuff

One-cycled Marcus and the ring I looted off of him made me glad I did. No Isobel for you, silly.
I also betrayed Kar’niss which hurt a little because I have a soft spot for the mildly insane Drider antics he had going. But I’m sure he’s in a better place now.

Killed an Owl Bear’s mama because I failed a performance check.

Found a potion of animal speak around the corner after I looted it’s body.

Deep shame washes over me.

Wait, BG3 actually enforces paladin oaths?

…If yes, I know what class I’d be playing if I were to play it.

What’s the lore with Paladin Oaths?

my favorite thing with baldurs gate 3 is how you’ll find 4 enemies in a fight with like 20 in a small room that all cast hunger of hadar and their concentration simply never breaks no matter how much damage they take while the boss automatically sucks everyone into the area of effect (which is anywhere but two spots in the room you cannot physically reach in a single turn) it’s cool fair and balanced gameplay

You should.
Feeds the baby and you get loot.

The baby didnt need feeding. It found food.

Yes. It’s mother.

Natural selection innit.

Eating her heart and brain means more courage and intellect for the baby.
This is science.

/blink

well, it managed to convince me for a moment there otherwise, but BG3 has managed to affirm that 5e is a horrible system, cool!

This is science!

Well I haven’t played one yet, but what I know is if you’re a nature oath paladin (or whatever it’s called), for example, and you’re indiscriminately killing animals, your oath will be broken with consequences for you. Same goes for 2 other oaths, but the conditions are a bit vague, or were in EA. Maybe they tightened things up for full release.

Oath of the Ancients. My favorite.

It’s settled, then — I know what I’d be playing. I’m too squeamish for this game’s gore, though.
