Love to see it, since it allows me to focus on what’s really important to me, the beautiful changes to my beloved pact of the blade warlock in OneDnD

Actually they’ve even dropped the “One D&D” branding, it’s just “the 2024 revision of 5th edition” now.

Considering they’ve backpedaled on almost all major changes, which the community complained about (justly, IMO), this makes sense.

Its possible. Being Lightforged grants immortality, and the Void is the other side of that proverbial, cosmic coin.

I tend to assume they’re all doomed to eventually succumb to madness however, even if it takes decades or centuries.

Good!

Imagine being a fantasy company with essentially THE tts(Or atleast one of the most popular) which in all theory should encourage and promote creativity and expressive freedom in how you play and roleplay.

Only for said company to constantly just have ideas that goes completely against that entire notion.

I think that ones a mistake because it falsely might give players the idea that the 2024 iteration is backwards compatible with subclasses and races introduced previously. As it stands - they are not.

Whereas Wizards really meant backwards compatibility for campaigns and adventures they’ve released.

Eh, subclasses are a mixed bag (especially since they’re still iterating on how that works - they reverted the previous change re: subclass levels normalisation across classes), but races are pretty backwards compatible. There’s no rules in 5.5e vs. 5e that require adjustments for both a 5e and a 5.5e Human to be in the same party.

Me stubbornly keeping two arms wrapped tight around my beloved half elves and half orcs. Wizards will not take them from me

half-orc stinky

orc best

love me half orcs

You can still play a 5e half-elf in 5.5e if you really wanted to, likewise there’s nothing that stops their backwards (or forwards, I guess) compatability with the new rules.

Don’t really mind the deletion of explicit stats for half-elves myself. Giving them four stat boosts, two of which were flexy, was stupid from the start. Can’t imagine how any designer worth their salt stacked S.Human and Half-Elves next to each other and said “yeah these are balanced”.

doens’t stack next to anything really.

And yeah, races, sure. They’re bwards compatible.

But I’m pretty sure the latest on clerics for example is that they get their specialisation at lvl 3, same with warlocks - choosing their patron.

Hell yeah brother.

I have read precisely zero of 5.5E but the little I have absorbed by osmosis has been good

will wait until they eventually sort out what warlocks are doing in the no-short-rest world

Eugh… I had to call to make sure all the moving stuff was in order, only to be told there was a deposit loan application missing, y’know the most important part of it all x_x
But no let’s not mention that until 5 days before moving, ridiculous process and now I wait for that to process before I can even do anything.

Why must it suck so much these days

As it stands we half casting. Feels kind of sad to lose short rest spell retrieval because it made the class feel very unique
