Pet peeves: The return (Part 5)

Ysera was originally set to be green aspect and wrathion as the black dragonflight aspect, so there was The Big Switcheroo only to Big Switcheroo right back because both got rewritten. A good change but clearly a late one

[because malfurion should have died in BFA when Saurfang threw an axe in his back]

you take that back right now

this is not just so we can have the tyrande/jaina ship as they bond over lost homelands but I’ll be honest that’s a significant reason

[makanidot’s art has permanently rewired my brain]

It’s mostly that Malfurion doesn’t really have anything to do any more, his arc has been done and we had a moment where his death could cause a big change and they didn’t and then he just didn’t do anything for years afterward

don’t care about tyrande/jaina, do care about tyrande/me/maiev

you are like four rungs down from maiev recognising you even exist

it goes like

  1. The Hunt
  2. Malfurion
  3. Naisha’s ghost
    [a significant gap]
  4. other night elves
  5. everyone else

Horizon scandal is getting air time again, i wish Fujitsu a very merry [REDACTED].

he has a lot of work left to do in the emerald dream, otherwise why does he keep going back there to sleep

elves treating humans like humans would treat talking dogs is a favourite headcanon of mine

[Yrilet, the eldar companion in Rogue Trader, does a full-body shiver at the mere idea of someone being interested in her like that]

Okay, not to that extent.

Humans are people worthy of respect, just… could they please have common sense not to die like fruit flies before you even get to know them properly?

And I think being in a romantic relationship with someone with a fraction of your life experience would probably feel very weird.

Not sure I’d go that far.

That game is seriously good. My eyeballs were hurting.

Elves treating humans like animals is boring. Elves dealing with the existential crises of their human friends and loved ones having such fleeting lives is powerful.

I think it’s tragically compelling. An elf falling in love with someone who’s doomed to wither and age while they’ll look exactly the same. Effective stasis vs the rapid nature of time. Do they close themselves off from it, do they cherish the time that they have?

People are worthy of respect. Humans in general are dumb animals, obviously. :woman_elf:

you would absolutely be friends with a dog that’s intelligent enough to talk back

you would also be depressed with the knowledge that they would pass through an entire lifetime in the time it takes you to, like, move houses after a career change

You can see this in microcosm with how many people [like me] would love to have pet rats but cannot handle their tiny lifespans, and many are willing to take the experience and the expected grief together
