ban waves dont work. There should be a gm monitoring server, banning bots and cheaters etc.

I think “GM should be monitoring” is such an outdated concept, when bots are scaling automation.
What Blizzard should do is massively improve their automated detection and suspension tools.
They need to fight fire with fire and given advents in the AI - they should go that way and find a way to implement a smart scanner that immediately detects and actions suspicious behavior. And they need to develop these tools soon, because it’s only a matter of time there will be AI bots that will be much harder to detect.
And yes, no ban waves, just immediately slam.

the botters/gold sellers & buyers also will be lower
botting/hacking is worst than ever now
compare to when wotlk was retail and just pre-GDKPs days before GDKP became the meta and mainstream to do

Keep this post alive! I just reported ridiculous amount of hunter bots at wetlands murlocs. Also heard of a guy who killed bots and the bots massreported him so he got banned. The situation is ridenculous!

I mean, Blizz is aware of the issue, they just aren’t keeping up.
We can make 100 forum threads, what does it matter. Everyone knows there are bots, including Blizzard.

Enough acting like village sillies. Hire low paid employees to monitor and ban bots.
If cant automate sort it out manually. All these penny saving excuses are too much already.

Suspend suspicious activity immidiately and unless they successfully appeal(might be a very rare mistake in a system like that that is well designed) they stay suspended.
Guilty until proven innocent lmao, not surprised this backwards suggestion comes from you. Same guy who wants to punish all GDKP runners in the hopes of catching a few rule breakers.
An automatic system wont detect legit players very often, what it does it eliminates the bots very effectively by picking up their patterns.
But I wont bother you, I will let you get back to your bots.
First step that blizzard must do is fix flyhack (immidiently detect it on server side and instant ban, not in banwaves, it is possible to detect FLYHACK immidiently), the only reason why blizz don’t do it because they get profit from bots bans in waves after they get profit because they pay sub again and again.

this will happen when there is less of a demand on gold
and this can happen if banning GDKPs or rework the raid loot system complety within the game so GDKP runs is no longer the meta

atleast they can handle reason why there is a source of income for gold sellers: GDKP runners
its clear its GDKP runners that ruining this game as i said in a earlier game but they dont care

and even value a BOP item to cost x $ at times becuase they just convert real money to gold
yes botting/hackers existed before GDKP became a main thing
but the ratio of players and botters/hackers has gone so much worse
the ratio of players & botters when WoW peaked with its playerbase(of real players)
i think it took me months between i saw 1-2 bots when wotlk was retail
today: its so insane
and if you think SoD is bad
Wotlk classic you are unable to do any mininig/herb becuase they just camp each node and teleport hack to them
and the real main different between wotlk classic or when wotlk was retail
GDKP just has become more mainstream
you are 100% suppporting Botters and hackers
if you join a GDKP even if you dont buy gold
you are still making up the demand for gold just by joining a GDKP without buying gold becuase there is up to 9 players who may buy gold you are basically helping in a raid
but the “ME ME ME” mindset just as long you get the gear/gold at the end then you dont care if the game basically breaks for alot of people and becomes unplayable

I have the feeling that there was a ban wave recently. This morning I spotted a number of suspicious chars on Wild Growth, almost all were low lvl Troll Mages with odd names in Durotar doing the same routine. I reported whichever toon looked suspicious (hopefully I didn’t report any legit players by mistake!).

that banwave was a disappointment for me. just visited wetlands and reported at least 15 hunters. also those bots have started forming and joining guilds to prevent the bans. holy crap it was sad to see all those bots farming there.
What blizzard needs to do is heavly start banning gold buyers people that have actually accounts to lose and make those like bnet account wide bans etc. and u will see how bots/gold sellers go down
