this.
its inflating the cost on AH and reeinforcing the requirement for bought gold as things get so expencive that they cannot be farmed within any reasonabillity.
an easier fix would also be to remove the pre-bis/bis worlddrops, and make them questrewards or bossdrops instead.
world drop blues that are BiS items cost 100s of gold now, and unless ure lucky asf or have played far too much for an adult, its unattainable to buy.
but its a few euro if u cheat.
how hard is it to flag transfers of gold from 50 and up, and examine the sender and recipient? or just limit the amount of gold that can be sent to characters that isnt on the same account?
or make it so you cant send gold unless you are at max level. the cost/time/effort to make a seller account then would be very high.
and implement a reward/bounty solution in game. any report of a player selling gold that leads to a âconvictionâ is rewarded with something, say 10 gold, at lvl 25. 100 at lvl 60.

Problem is that WoW is pure CAPITALISM with 0 regulations or restrictions.
I am aware this will not be widely accepted BUT my idea is: GOLD = acc wide, soulbound currency usable ONLY with NPC vendors and Auction house - can not be traded or send via mail.
and yes, this would kill player trading = IRL Cash⊠but in online world with no regulation ppl will just do what we see nowâŠ
There is no other simple and fast way to fight bots amd gold selling but i think players will RATHER have their âfreedomâ in game rather than system to reduce their âfreedomâ but significantly reducing âgaming MOBâ
ill tell u what would happen. if u buy 300 gold, u get items for that value traded to u, to sell in AH. we cant make items not tradeable.
but requiring characters to be at max lvl before the option to trade gold to other accounts is opened, would raise the risk/reward bar for ppl selling gold. they would loose max lvl accounts.
and making a reward system in game, where u report a goldseller and if the report leads to an action against that accountholder, the player reporting it, would be rewarded with 10-100 gold.
that would shut them down in a few days.
So, then Thorium Bars or/and Swiftthistle or/and whatever other resource(s) will become a new gold people would use to barter anything worth a dam, just like in Path of Exile.
Gratz, you did not solve anything and made everyoneâs lives more annoying in process.
maybe yes⊠maybe no⊠And in that case I would say just get rid of player trading interaction in its entirety.
feel free to add your idea how to fix this issue⊠because your reaction is not constructive atll⊠just mocking my idea down
Whatâs the difference between this and âPetition to get rid of poverty and diseases in real life.â ?
None, neither will happen.
I mean, if your idea does have some very obvious gaps, I am free to point it out.
Itâs called feedback. Sorry, but your idea wonât work given obvious player-driven bartering example style of POE and whatâs worse it will make everyone miserable, so you gotta rethink that.
There is no real difference between gold, thorium bars, arcane crystals, runecloth and whatever other âcurrencyâ players will use instead if you make gold restricted.
Difference is that this is made up fictional world + there are OBVIOS owners to it who can change what EVER they like almost instantly.
A literal GOD in WoW that can do anything! Thats the freaking difference sir
again⊠0 value in your post. Do you have something valuable to add? Any idea how YOU would try to fix this problem? If NO⊠why do you even post here?
And guess what ? That âliteral GODâ wonât do anything, because he profits from all of this situation.

500 bots for Blizz = $7.5k monthly subs. They ban in waves to allow bot owners to profit from botting, thus paying for new subs when old ones are banned. That makes everyone happy. Gold buyers pay for gold, bot owners and blizz get their profit.
If bots would be banned too quickly, bot owners would stop paying for new subs and blizz would lose a lot of subs.
Iâm very cynical of this issue never getting fixed. Banwaves are just farts in the wind. Canât smell s**t.
So you are saying that imposible to eliminate them. They are powerful and we need to accept and pay our subs ?
If the service is that poor and out of control like private server why blizzard is asking sub?
Blizzard ban bots between 15 and 45 days. This is direct info from bot users. Like if you spend 10minutes on internet you can find discord channels etc. If blizzard do this of course they will earn so much money in 1 month, more than cost of one account.
Also for blizzard bots and I are the same. One slme who pay subs we also know this.
No it doesnt, they buy gametime really cheap, so this is a lie.
What makes you say that? Câmon itâs only been 20 years, have some optimism there, will ya?
how could they possibly indentify the botters? they are completely undetectable by the human eye it is totally understandable why blizzard hasnât been able to stop them at all, and no the hundreds of players with gibberish names doing the same activity 24/7 are not botters

not to mention the level boosts, thats like 30K more, also the goober eater saying that they can get ingame time cheaper as if that does not make the job easier for them and ripping blizzard off more lmao
been playing on horde side lately and oh boy are there a lot of hunter bots in barrens and thousand needles. where else can you find horde bots? we all know about sfk shananigans and mage flyhack boosters.
As long as there is a demand and people are willing to pay for it, it will never go away. Donât underestimate the power these multi million bot companies have.
