Please allow those stuck on Flamelash Alliance a Transfer!

ngl, they way you write this sounds pretty arrogant like.
Don’t get me wrong, you’ve got a point, people have their own responsibilities and all.
And you could even argue that Blizzard was nice enough to give the two day notice they’re closing it down, as in the past they just shut it down and guilds were split 50-50 on Server X and Y.

But let’s be honest, imagine you’re away on a business trip for 4 days. And you come back to Flamelash. You basically screwed and gotta go lvl a new char and everything. Which could have been prevented by a better design on these transfers, so unless “put on your tinfoil hats” this is planned in a way to have paid transfers up in a few months for all the snoozers to make some cash, it’s not best organized transfer setup from Blizzard.

Funny thing is, 48 hour was long enough to make all guilds transfer, yet too short for every lvl 60 to learn about it. Especially on a weekday. Well played blizzard, well played…

That’s the result of me long since losing my patience with all the crying and people blaming Blizzard for issues out of their control.

Blizzard screwed up a lot with Classic, but H/A ratio? Player fault. Some servers being full and others being ghost towns? Player fault. Massive gankfests in order to farm honor? Player fault.

The thing is, this transfer was going to result in some people getting screwed. The Alliance plan was to join Earthshaker and make it a majority Alliance server; that would have screwed the Earthshaker Horde over. Instead, the FL Horde followed the FL Alliance, and screwed the remainers of FL over as well as the Earthshaker Alliance.

He was given 2 days.

How do you know they knew that? Not only is Blizzard’s communication with transfers piss poor, how is someone newer to the game supposed to know they aren’t permanent?

Why are you acting like a bit more of a heads up about these things is a bad thing? For all you know OP’s guild only realised they could transfer last week and have only been prepping for it for a short time.

no its cuz youre a dong

Never seen so much bs.

ALL of these issues are Blizz’s fault, except maybe the last one.

As player, there’s no way of telling:

  • server population
  • faction balance
So you cannot expect them to balance this out or know which servers are full and which are empty.

IN FACT Blizz broke the census addon, therefore keeping this info to themselves, but yet not taking any action necessary to address it.

The Gankfest as well. At Blizzcon they said “finish quests in hillsbrad” - ahahahaha.

The horde obviously spread out. There’s so many of them farming honour, they have to, cause there’s not enough alliance to be shared at the top spots. So after Tarren Mill wasn’t as big, they moved to where most alliance players can be found - on paths to dungeons and raids. First Thorium point, then once it’s overfarmed the Burning Steppes side, too. And on and on etc. I mean to find hordes ganking at Light’s Chapel at 4 in the morning is pretty fekin extreme.

I don’t see H/A Ratio as a problem, I don’t see Massive gankfests to farm honor as a problem.

Personally I think only a small amount of the Alliance came over with the purpose of “Dominating” but the few that did, apparently had a very loud voice as people keep saying this. Then again, there are no statistics showing the motivation of people actually moving.

Personally I think most moved as a chain reaction out of fear of what actually happened. The server dying and not being stuck. Which is a logical human reaction.

Only thing I slightly blame Blizzard for is how they organized the Transfer. Since if I see what the natives are saying, they say it was better on the server before we joined. And personally as Alliance, I don’t see much difference from Flamelash as it almost seems like the majority of the Alliance I see in Ironforge were the same ones as on Flamelash, and the Hordes I pvp against I recognize the majority from Flamelash as well.

But if Natives think it was better than before we came over (Again, no statistics so might just be that the ones that have this opinion are very loud about it). And the ones left on Flamelash feels like they’re cucked.

What was the point of it anyways?

I wouldn’t talk if I were you.

Actually no, they’re all the players fault. Blizzard did nothing to prevent these problems, that doesn’t mean the problems were Blizzard’s fault. You were warned about ratios, you were warned about server capacity.

Blizzard introduced layering to help with one of the problems, and how did the players react? These forums were full of whining, crying and outrage. Also, layering was exploited.

The thing is, Blizzard can’t win here. Whatever they do is wrong and will likely result in even more problems, so they did nothing. An action I support fully.

The point of the transfer was to bring a few people from an overpopulated server to an underpopulated server, to even out both. Instead, the servers essentially swapped populations.

Hey, at least I can see when I’m a dong. It’s called simple self awareness.

This post has got nothing to do with whose fault any of this is. A sub-optimal situation has arisen due to whatever reason and we (and as I can see many others too) merely want to be offered a solution - such as a paid or free transfer opportunity off of Flamelash.

The fact that the closing of transfers was announced only from the forum, and that it was insufficient time for all members of large guilds to react to in time, warrants the argumentative basis for my post, to add some legitimacy to my plea.

Whether or not Blizzard could have handled it any better is an argument beyond this post. which I do not even want to comment on. We simply want a solution so we can be re-united with our community!

Aye, well, not swapped, one died with people stuck on it and the other one is now possibly in a worse condition than before.
So I’d say it didn’t really work out that well.

Then what is it you’re doing, other than getting upset at me not agreeing with your stupid whine?

Using somebody else’s words only works when you do it correctly.

I used to play vanilla and very early BC with this rogue, i visited IF Yesterday, i couldn’t believe what i saw.
A ghost town with few ally (guild Leftovers) fighting hordies in front and into ironforge.

I have never seen that since vanilla and on pservers i played on except perhaps kronos 3.

All of this is the result of the poor management of blizzard, the layers and not enough servers at the release.
I hope you 'll be listened.

Both alliance and horde are doomed on Flamelash.

Blizzard should turn Flamelash into PVE server in order to save it.

1st: You ignored all points I made.
2nd: Your points are sh.it

Are you really so naïve to believe the majority players use the forums? No one was warned about anything by Blizzard or in a manner that would actually reach almost all people. It’s like shouting in a multi million people city and then claiming everyone heard your shouts.

And Blizz is at fault, cause they were literally the only party who could have addressed any of these issues. And their attempts of fixing things are completely and utterly incompetent. To allow transfers from an already massively underrepresented faction is utter madness in a situation like this.

On the plus side, Census is now easy to do on Flamelash alliance, just do a blank who search hahaha

Lastly and most sadly, I think Blizz will also do nothing to fix the issues brought up in this thread. On retail you could at least buy your way out, which is actually pretty fricking savage, first they screw up their job entirely and then the players who suffer from their incompetence are asked to pay money for it LOL =D

If you are stuck on Flamelash I feel for you. There is indeed nothing for you anymore. I am not sure about when the transfers opened though. Anyway, don’t think Blizz will trow you a life-line, but I hope for you they do.

Thank you for your support Crystalshade! It is actually not me personally who is stuck on Flamelash, but a few of our dear guild members who were away for work and do not login on weekdays.

Lol I just checked and there are 36 people online on Alliance side. 6 of which are level 60.

I am having such a good time…

Too bad there will be cross-realms. I would really enjoy reading how they have 10 hours+ BG queues…

You didn’t make any.

Better a bad point than none at all.

Not at all. That doesn’t mean that information available on the forums is ONLY available on the forums. News and knowledge spread like wildfire.

You were given a short warning, because it was supposed to be a small thing. The point of the transfer was, as I said earlier; so that a few players could migrate to balance out the population. It wasn’t intended for every guild on the server to jump ship.

It wasn’t for everybody. And moving guilds across servers wasn’t supposed to be a snap decision, you were supposed to have communicated with your guild in advance. It doesn’t take much to open a seperate channel on your guild’s discord server to say “hey, should we migrate from Flamelash the next time Blizzard open transfers for us?”

Blizzard didn’t cause the issues, the players caused the issues. It isn’t Blizzard’s place to babysit the classic community to make sure everything goes smoothly. We were told what would happen, then there’d be problems and imbalanced. Not only that, but anybody with any shred of common sense knew themselves.

I don’t. If Flamelash Alliance is really as bad as people said; I wouldn’t know having not seen it myself, Blizzard will eventually intervene. Blizzard said at the start of Classic that they wanted to avoid server merges, but I think that’ll inevitably happen.

As I said, we were not planning on migrating initially, as we believed BGs being released might solve the situation, and there was NO indication that Blizzard would suddenly close transfers before that date. Then, when they suddenly announced they were closing transfers with only 48 hours notice, mass panic took over the server and everyone began leaving. THIS is why we, as a guild, were forced to make a sudden decision, and some of our members were unavailable during these 48 hours due to adult life responsibilities.

Holy frick Miylee you’re literally not on my page at all. I even quoted earlier when I replied to you what I was discussing, yet somehow in the middle you started talking about the server merge announcements.

Are you even paying attention or just too busy being a know-it-all?
