Please Ban people using anti afk scripts

Which is why I advocate for a ban and not jail, yes.

And why apologised for creating a hyperbolic analogy.

Should definitely be a bannable offence. Such players are literally robbing a server spot from people who are ready and waiting to play the game. It’s beyond scummy.

Let’s just agree to disagree. Thanks for the chat.

And how would you find these people? Lol

GM message to them. If they don’t respond, kick. If it becomes a pattern, ban.

Not just scripts, you can literally google mouse clicker program and have one downloaded and working in 10 seconds. ¬.¬

you can just autowalk into a wall and it takes 1 hour to get kicked out of completly

Please ban players who play wow too much and give the guys who actually have full time jobs and come home to a 4 hour queue have a chance?

Problems like scripts are solved simply by measuring the hype and the shere amount of players. I work in I.T and networking and if a server isn’t up to the load of active sessions its not fit for purpose.

My point being Blizzard knew there would be hype on the game, they knew this would happen. Scripts are merely a bi product of said hype. I.E the queue times, disconnects and lack of lower pop servers is causing this issue.

I guess its like drug policy in some countries. You can make them illegal but people will still do them because reasons, if you remove ‘reasons’ people won’t be so inclined.

swap to the newest server, in phase 2 they will turn off layering which will make the queue you got now seem minor in comparrison

Tried that mate, went from firemaw queues to razorgore, 24 hours later, 8k queues +, so you propose that everyone just keeps doing that indefinitely until blizzard sorts their s**t out? So the community continues to suffer this regardless. Nice plan.

Botters/scripters/macroers are easy to spot, if you know what to look for. Check for patterns in their movement, systematic movement/ability usage.
Are they using the same ability and ONLY that ability, while otherwise standing completely still, with the same amount of time inbetween each cast? If yes, then it’s a macro/script running.
Are they running into the wall, systematically jumping every 1? If so, it’s a macro/script running.
Is the person just standing there never moving, not even idle movement (There’s 2 idle movements, the breathing of your character, and the other where they move shoulders/head and whatnot), is the character vibrating in the exact same spot, moving so fast, it’s barely detectable? Then there’s a really high chance there’s a macro/script running.

It is our SWORN duty as wow players who are paying for this game, to report these people and wipe them off the face of the azeroth, regardless of wether they’re a friend, a guildie or a random person.

I reported over 20 people using such things earlier today. I hope blizz swings the hammer and removes them all.
But I will settle for a server restart. That’ll smite them all off, and let the rest of us in (including me, so I can continue my hard work of cleaning up Azeroth ingame)

they added 3 new servers dreadmist - ten storm and something else both at medium these are the new servers you gotta swap to

I agree on the first part about reporting suspicious activity.

I do however 100% disagree about restarting the servers just to “spite” people.

You’re saying the solution to punish the people who are online playing to push 1000s of people into new queues.

It’s a temporary solution untill those that use scripts / macros / Bots are gone. Or at least untill the layering is gone and the queues too.
What else can blizzard really do to alleviate the situation? Nothing else if you ask me. Besides its not to spite people. It’ll help if they force people off, so new fresh people can get in.

Can you do free realm transfers currently? Or do you have to start over? Because thats BS if its the latter.

I think thats exactly what they have been doing. I got booted last night after being on a few hours, was put at the back of a 9k queue on razorgore. Upon relogging, so many people said they just managed to get back on after a dc, which leads me to believe that they booted everyone off a shard or 2

Blame the fact that you’re getting queues for 2-6+ hours…

Of course people are going to use any type of anti afk to avoid waiting 2-6 hours to play the game…

Queues or not, it aint not excuse to violate the games rules and policies made the game developers.
The queues are there with or without these people. But these people are actively making it worse, by never logging off. They’re litterally holding a spot forever, untill there’s a restart.

Sorry but I think you might be a little ignorant as to just how big of a task it would be to automatically find people that are using 3rd party scripts in order to not be AFK on such a short notice just for the next few days or weeks.
