Wow the no changes crew, asking for changes! Hypocrites.
Against this movement, NO CHANGES!
Leave servers how they are for this miserable lot to rot in.
You lot were quick to enforce and jump down everyones throat in regard to no changes and look where that got you all.!
This is CLASSIC as you wanted it! NO CHANGES if you want changes and QoL go back to … you guessed it, RETAIL!
Achievement: Maximum Ignorance. Completed.
The no changes crew was always about keeping the retail boys and blizztards with retail ideas in check. Not about avoiding direly needed changes to the core system of which the game runs.
Even with that we still got a classic with loads of changes, but none of the changes that was actually needed. Could that be an idea to why we were so loud about it?
Which persons, specifically, are you addressing?
I get confused of all these “you said this, and now you say this. Now you should suffer”.
Is someone keeping track of what persons were signed up on some formal no-changes member list? And now keeping track of what those people are saying?
I might have missed something here(?)

Firstly: I can’t go back to Retail, as I only subbed when Classic was announced (This is my one and only Retail toon, made for forums when I could not play CLassic yet - not much to go back to, don’t you agree?)
I play Classic Era. I do not and did not want any changes in the game. Merging of servers is NOT a change, only if PvP and PvE are merged. Which I am forcefully against.
Now please go back to TBCC and leave Classic alone.

I guess “what’s needed” differs for every single player in this game.

Your bitterness and anger speak for itself. Not sure why you behave like they stole a candy from you. As your post does not add anything useful to the discussion, other than insultations, I flagged it.
Just for your information, classic already started with a massive change. Servers hosted roughly 10 times the players it used to 17 years ago. This had massive changes to the economy as a consequence. If Blizzard hadn’t intervened, i.e. with the Black Lotus spawns, it would also have had an impact on the raiding scene itself. So there actually was no #nochanges to start with. Though they tried to keep the world as close as possible to the original form, hence some of the requested QoL changes were not added to the game, which might explain your bitterness.

Celebras will not be merged, that’s for sure. Nothing to merge with. Maybe some people will come back after they’re done with BC, but it will still be just a fraction of the original population.
Maybe… maybe not. A Server with less then a few players, can’t be hold by blizz, i think.
Immediate short term fix: Scrap character clone cost.
Into the medium to long run, other changes are definitely needed. But, immediately scrapping clone costs would help.

after a long time i finally reached level 51 and now… alterac valley is dead. please connect the servers in the eu!
I just started playing again, and server is literally a ghost town (Noggenfogger). So, please merge the servers!

Aren’t Battlegrounds regardless of language and server-type connected anyway? I remember that some of my former guildmates joked that they got slaughtered by members of Apes, which obviously were on English PvP servers and we played on German PvE.
So that is IMO no valid arugment for why servers should be connected.
You mean, all EU Server are connected for BG’s? …interesting, and now my argument is obsolet. But for all the other reasons, please merge EU Servers.
Why are you so sure about this? Most TBC players are still working on their TBC chars, preparing them for T5 content. I.e. caster roughly needs 2 month (without any help on spellweave or the like) to reach BIS status. Most of the raiding oriented players currently farm T4 content and heroics, grind rep on the different faction and farm gold as the epic flying and crafting-resources might have had an impact on their reserves.
Two days ago 9.1 launched in retails so some people are returning there and working on their chars now as from what I’ve learned there were some massive changes introduced that require a rework of your character in some way. I guess these players currently also have other things to do than spending their time on classic.
It is manifestly obvious that for players who moved to Classic TBC and would not mind dipping back to Classic Era now and then, that removing barriers to entry to Classic Era, such as clone costs, can not hurt the Classic Era population and will almost certainly help it.

From a pure account number on era-realms perspective I agree. But do era servers or a healthy server population really need players that log in every once in a while on irregular intervals when the weather conditions are right? Especially in raids that struggle to find enough players to sustain raiding such players usually can’t be relied on. And I already see the drama of benched players that have to pass for one of those players that appear every now and then or of an irregular player that is benched again and again. It happened before, it’ll happen again.
Also, if the copy-cost would have been removed, the whole story might have also gone the other way. Think of players that chose era-servers on all of their toons and now suddenly, as a lack of active players on era, would’ve tried TBC and due to its content and people running dungeons 24/7 would have actually enjoyed it and spent time in there. This would have led to a reduction of active player numbers on era realms. So the story would go both ways I guess?
I wonder what blizzard is waiting for…
