Supported!
Hey, that went downhill fast.
You = everybody (Psst! Shall I tell you a secret? No, you’re not)
I = obnoxious just because I do not want to support your cause and cancel my subscription, but am actually still enjoying Classic.
It’s still there, nothing about them “keeping something” just for me.
And I do not want to force all languages to be merged. I fully support a merge of all EU-English PvP realms, but leave people free to play in their own language.
No
No fresh servers. Do you know how long it takes to get a thunder fury doing MC every week? 1 Whole year IF lucky. Why would i want to keep trying to do that every fresh restart.
No way - it takes ages to get some of the gear - no idea why anyone would want to see all there progress killed only to start again.
You dont have to grind TF on each fresh server, and having all the bis gear on an empty ghostserver does not serve any purpose either.
To copy myself from the “We want fresh” topic:
I too do not want fresh. Not because I have endgame items - I haven’t - But I have a multitude of alts spread over 4 realms. And I would not want to go through level 1-10 again this many times. Now I’m finally having the ‘newcomers’ there Only exception is my no-deaths (aka IronMen) where I re-roll on death. For them a fresh realm would be same-same.
Bumpity bump.
Trouble is players from big nations wont submit to english speaking, they are just to proud for that.
Small nations dont have that nation pride, so we adapt and we often speak more than just one “big” language along with our native.
over three weeks have passed and classic is pretty much dead now. you legit see no one.
so much for “relax TBC has just been released people will be back.”
back my a$$, I’ve told you folks that the pre-patch is only the calm before the real storm.
Now people unsubscribed, classic era is dead and still no word from blizzard.
Thanks for nothing- to the doubters, people who enjoying playing on a wasteland and blizzard.
“Nothing” is pushing it. We did get nearly 3 years.
It was supposed to be something permanent instead of progressing to TBC and giving staying into classic as the least attractive option where ones ties from pre TBC are severed cause the guilds etc went to TBC
Classic era, classic tbc- will come a time when you realise u will give up on them, even with merges and online servers 10 years.
In the end, how much of the same can you do nonstop?
Hope u get what u wish.
Nobody can do it nonstop.
People come back whenever they feel like it.
bump for MERGE!
I’d also like to see either the two classic era pvp realm groups merged together or even better couple of fresh servers, one for each realm type.
For what I’ve gathered from logging in to both pvp realm groups (EU english) both with an alliance character and horde one, there seems to usually be around 40-70 players logged in per side. Even if these numbers wouldn’t make a functioning realm itself, I believe it would make the effort of growing population back to a point where there would be one easier. First, it wouldn’t be so discouraging for people who log in if there would be even a bit larger pool of players to interact with and second it would be much more clear for both new players and potential tbcc returners to know where to create a character.
Even though most are now playing tbcc, I still feel there could be enough interest for classic era to have at least one working server since not everyone has had their changes to play that to boredom yet.
Holly Longdale , Patrick Dawson, Brian Birmingham where are you guys?
We need you now more then ever, is really that hard for you guys write a simple response to this post to hold the community? We are not asking much, just to come here and write some words like "hey guys don´t worry we are working on that server merge or we are not but we intend too " or just something! We understand tbc is taking your time and it´s hard work but i can´t believe you keep watching players leaving and do nothing…
just a simple setence…
is that the love you have for the game and for the community since beta? what do you need to write a few words here? come on…
Blizzard just destroyed classic again by re-releasing TBC. Nothing will fix that. End of story. People once said they wanted to play classic again because they didn’t like what WoW became in retail. Yet they seem to be happy to go down that same road again, hyping every “new” expansion that comes along. To me this is proof how right J. Allen Brack was after all when he said: “You think you do, but you don’t”. It was just nostalgia, nothing else. Otherwise people wouldn’t play TBC at all now.
Such a pity - still no encouraging blue posts in this thread.
Yet I don’t give up hope that TBC hype will end, which is a matter of time only. But ofc time is money. I really don’t understand how TBC became so popular among classic oriented players. All TBC content is available in actual WoW including instances, but with updated mechanics, balance and life improving features. In my mind there is absolutely nothing in TBC that would keep players for as long, as Vanilla did. Especially taking into account new paid features like character boost.
Long live vanilla !!!
Don’t underestimate the power of the herd. Once people start telling each other how fanatically they have been waiting for the coming shiny expansion, and that those who haven’t are jerks, then people have a tendency to fold and run along with the rest of the sheep-herd. Regardless of their initial position. Tbc is a bit like the emperor’s new clothes.
Quite interesting phenomena.
