Please reduce the amount of marks required for R14 gear

I get you, but there is nothing wrong putting in some effort to get your gear. Like I said you can easly obtain 2/3 parts before TBC is here. Otherwise nolife it for probably just 1 week and you got your entire set.

What the hell did you thought?

It’s 170 ish hours and thats assuming 100% win rate for about 40k honour taking into account queue times and seeing as weapons are likely the largest upgrade people would need /should go for so how is that realistically doable in the remaining 12 days prepatch give if you work or have other commitments?

What was the reason behind this honor nerf? 110 AB (and some WSG and AV) marks in 2 weeks was already something not easily achievable… and now this too.

You SHOULD reduce the amount of honor required to buy the R14 gear after this nerf by x10 too. Back in the day we had 40+ days to get that gear, now we have 13 days.

The issue is they have taken candy of a baby - half the ‘bugs’ shouldn’t have come out of beta but Blizzard have become lazy, simple as.

If pre patch launched with this current honour cap in then no one would be complaining. Its only an issue because of their own laziness that they gave something good and took it away.

As with all games these days, find an exploit and exploit it fast.

While we are at it… does somebody know if you get experience in bgs from win or generally below 60? Thanks

Well that’s the thing, I don’t think some1 deserves the entire set + weapons if they don’t want to put in max effort. They should be happy with 2/3 items? Or am I wrong here?

I mean this is what’s wrong with the community people expect to get everything with zero input & or either throw money at it. You don’t need the full set to enjoy the game, if you do you put in effort.

I got my rank 14 long ago so I got all the gear, I am just farming some honor for lvl 70. I started today and I almost got 2.5k honor in about 3.5/4 hours so it ain’t to bad.

I agree that getting gear in prepatch seemed too trivial. I stopped my honor grind at r13 and yesterday I was able to get a missing r14 weapon within 2-3 hours. It was way too easy.
But 10 times less honor is also a horrible idea.
The pvp gear is only relevant for the next two weeks. It will be replaced in the first day or two of TBC so there should be no reason for people to spend 10 days farming battlegrounds for the “transmog”.

People who claim that they need PVP gear as an actual upgrade are the scrubs who bought delux edition and/or never played Classic to begin with.
Being butt naked in TBC won’t be the problem. Everyone will be doing dungeons 24/7 because open world would be a complete joke, especially on PVP servers. And if everyone’s doing dungeons replacing green Classic gear with green TBC gear will be a nobrainer.

i think you’re missing the point here, its not for 0 effort people are still willing to Grind the gear the issue is that outside of maybe the one or two CHEAPER bits of gear that really arnet that large of an upgrade - lets take a melee dps vs a caster here yes as a caster you could prio the cheaper bits which is fine and i totally get you point however for the melee dps that rely so much on the weapons the target is nigh on unatainable because they’d need roughly that 170 hours of playtime youre suggesting is reasonable, to put it into context thats 8.5 days of grinding bgs 100% win rate playing nearly 20 hours a day (Hordeside) alliance may have lower numbers but thats due to queue time variance

You guys are delusional if you think 3k+ honor for a single AV win is the correct amount lol

everyone bump this

nobody got 3k honor for an av, simply complete nonsense what you claim there

Bump it real good

This is getting ridiculous. It seems noone is able to do maths, noone cares for promises given and noone is using common sense. Many classic/TBC player have come back to play something that is fun as they deemed retail as not a fun game. Your superiors already showed us that the only thing they want from us is our money. If you keep up with doing the wrong things we will stop giving you money. Even if it was a bug, you should ask your Diablo collegues about what to do when players feel something as fun or rewarding (like doubling Legendary drop rates). I save you the hassle: you keep the feature. Getting R14 in classic was never about having any PvP skill. It was always about investing insane amounts of time. TBC and its prepatch were designed for fixing this. The balance of time vs reward is now way off again. Revert the Hotfix for Honor.
We are talking about gear that is obsolete in 12days (and is already sub-par compared to pve obtainable gear).

thats the point

Yes, please!! Revert the no sense nerf!!

Bad patch update, fix or revert. factor of 10 is way too much I played in TBC and it was never this low honor gains.

Sure maybe 50% of the amount would be right but factor of 10 all I hear is “Fun detected, must fix, must fix”

Hire some people who can do the calculation.

4 hours for 2.5k honor isn’t too bad…Dude do you have a job? Given win rates and queue times, to get 2x 1h weapons thats going to be 130-160 hours. TEN hours every day for 2 weeks…No thanks.

and thats NOT how it was in the original TBC Pre-patch I promise you, I had HWL Spellblade and Tome and I absolutely did not do more than 40 hours

So, 200 honor per BG win? And I need 100k+ for my set. Oh and raids are bugged, a brand new 58 boosted character already ZG locked for the week. Nicely done blizz  2 week prepatcth btw. Just rushing it out because of retail patch / new games coming out. Joke.
