The elemental fire cost now about 250% (16g on shazzrah) of the normal price a few weeks ago. This is simply dou to demand. There is not as much elemental fire as Its needed.
That comes very clear now when BWL is released. And the excuse to call it a “true vanilla” experience does not really cut it. Our servers are bigger now then before therefor the damand is much higher then before.
The result of not fixing this problem will be that players cant afford to raid and then will just stop because the dont get the progress they look for. Its already way to expensive to buy all the consumes needed. Fixing this issue would improve the gaming experience to the better to the overall player.
The “heart of fire Transmute” came closer to AQ40 in vanilla when the base of the guilds were still stuck at MC as best… Classic is a diffrent game. And need to be seen as that.
I really hope more players then me want to adress this subject. A increase in [elemental fire] by just having the heart of fire transmute would really inprove the raiding aspect of the game in general.
Could use 1 more for red dragon.

Implying that consumables are a requirement to clear any pve content released to this date in this 15 year old nerfed version of the game with op itemisation and class talents. Please tryhard even more.
Good dps and healing is pretty much the only thing all the available content requires to be cleared, and that requires only as much as pre raid bis gear lists provide if players press their 2 or 3 buttons every gcd. Imagine not having enough dps to kill Vael with current itemisation and talents.
It’s called supply and demand and it’s supposed to be that way. Otherwise whats the point? They change the loot and give us what we need because we’re too lazy to do a tiny bit of elementals farming? They might as well give us epics too then cause we’re too lazy to raid and they know we can do it.
Yes, the servers have a lot more people, so more potential buyers. But you know what also happens with more people? More potential sellers. Even in vanilla, there would be surges in prices depending on what was new or what was hot that week. NR res gear was worthless in p1 but before aq40 all of a sudden it was damn near priceless. That’s how economies work mate.
Not getting the progress they want so they quit?
People are literally clearing instances, including BWL on day 1, not just the top guilds but mid tier guilds. Hell, I did half of BWL with a PUG on day 2. How are people not getting the progress they want so they quit?
If having to actually WORK for progress makes them quit, then good. This game isn’t for them.
Now you can do one of two things.
a. you don’t learn and u whine at blizz for not giving u free stuff
b. you do learn and you go and look up what’s gonna be hot in the next phase and u start grinding it now and then you sell it at surge price and make thousands of gold. =)
You don’t need any GFPP for Firemaw honestly. You need bandage to self-sustain yourself when you hide on a wall, there’s no need to GFPP. It might help to have GFPP to land 1 or 2 more spell before having to hide due to massive stack, but it’s a waste of consumables and golds.
The only boss that need 2 GFPP is Vael, to help your healers and avoid pushback because it’s a DPS race.
Frankly, you don’t even need them for Vael. I mean, ofc it’s preferable if you have them, but if for some reason your guild lacked the GFPP, would you just call the right for that night or something?
Saying “players can’t afford to raid” just because they can’t afford a GFPP or two sounds ridiculous to me, no matter how one puts it.
you are griefing your raid if you are not using fire pot as a caster/hunter due to spell pushback. any kill over 40s is bad and u will have people lose world buffs to bomb.
regarding OP anyone could have predicted this, a massive increase in demand due to a raid that massively increases demand for fire pot and no increase in supply. however i agree that a xmute will be quite necessary as the 2006 supply does cover the 2020 demand
well if we have members that uninterested in raiding it would be good to start question why we raid at all. but fire pots are only 15g each on mograine so no excuse not to have them
Well if you’d rather not raid at all than raid without GFPP that’s on you. I’ve never used a single GFPP in Molten Core aside from Ragnaros’s 1st kill, for example, and in the end it made no difference whatsoever.
You can blame the game all you want, but in the end you play with the hand you got or you quit. That’s just how Classic is.
Well, I’m sure that once we cleared KT, I’ll definitely tell myself “Damn, I would have been better off not raiding at all than going to BWL without that GFPP”
