I have a little secret for you, you know you can also just play without a second spec right? Problem solved. Stop gatekeeping towards others, it doesn’t ask much. Why control someone else’s gameplay? Ow and stop calling people names for not agreeing with you. Doesn’t charm you.
I could point you towards SoD aswell. The current classic era community really wants a vanilla fresh and should get one. You just had your SoD and if its up to me you can have your seperate classic+ server. Why not give us a fresh vanilla every so many years? The chars can move to era after. Everyone happy. I don’t understand the hate coming from people. Just give both sides 1 server, problem solved. You can vote for other changes as well on your classic+ server and see how it goes.
But you are not. None of you are crying about this, but you do because of Dual Spec, etc.
It is OBVIOUSLY, from the life spawn of the Anniversary Servers ( 1 year ), that this are not #nochange servers. Crying that there are changes but ignoring the most of it, the life spawn of the servers is idiocracy.
No you can’t. I want the changes. You can’t send me from a #changes server which I agree, to a #nochange server which I don’t agree. Makes sense now? Great.
Really? Most of you praise the Vanilla Classic servers for being healthy and full of people, etc and that you will go play ERA and not Anniversary servers. Well, gl, hf.
Yes I do. I don’t know any better than the roadmap saying TBC Winter/Spring. In theory that could be June 2026. So I have no clue what makes you say it will be 1 year.
Are you saying SoD is a nochanges server? SoD was meant to be a server where Blizzard could implement changes to Vanilla WoW. So its the kind of game where all the classic+ people seem to look for but somehow its left in the dust.
Sadly the servers are 5 years old. Alot of people simply want a fresh experience. Blizzard failed to enforce their own ToS so after 5 years its a botfest with rmt. For being 5 years old the servers and despite the state as I mentioned the servers are still pretty populated which says alot. How many versions of WoW are still being played after 5 years?
And for the love of Azeroth stop mishandling the language. It’s bad enough that Blizz maltreats our game.
It’s dual spec - two of them is what we discuss. If you’d like to duel me over their implementation, meet me at the gates of Stormwind at dawn. If I win, Dual spec gets limited to the nearest rested area.
The Anniversary servers will unfortunately not spawn anything other than discord and strife, I’m afraid. Their life span on the other hand is worth discussing. 16 months is my guess.
And for the
Hyperbole and a half explained it way better than me!
Core pilar of Blizzard and WoW was making a MMO that is available to mainstream audience, not like EverQuest where you die and lose exp, and if other people killed you they could loot you. So how is a game made to have easy aaccesibility in MMO leaving its core principle by allowing easy aaccesibility? Also if you put second talent page by what the guild leader tells you, you have bigger problems in life.
I’m sad dual specs won’t be in from the start. Leveling as healer, specially in classic, is horribly slow.
Maybe LFG can help some. But in the old classic era, it sucked big time imho. And doing quests took forever if even possible solo. Until the dual spec is added, leveling as dps is probably the only option - focused on quests, then respec and stop doing open world content unless in a group with a friend or two.
Because the original was incomplete, imbalanced, lacked maturity and generally sucked.
It’s called “learning as you grow”, something you wouldn’t know much about.
And you can play versions which don’t include it, bye.
LITERALLY.NOBODY.ASKED.
They can go play the original version.
So can you.
You don’t matter. None of you ever did. Take your toxic self-aggrandizing bs elsewhere.
Dual spec has always been absolutely necessary, it just took them ages to understand it. Without it, everyone whines that there are no healers and tanks. Of course there aren’t, nobody’s looking to be forced into paying 100g just to grind raiding stuff.
1h mail delay was stupid and pointless, quite possibly a technically limitation around mq or whatever. Tech evolved.
Yeah, I suspect you know nothing of the “spirit of the era” and you probably started playing around WoD or something. Everyone who was tanking/healing in 2004-2005 was complaining that they can’t even grind outside of raids. Everyone who was dps was complaining that tanks were taking their MS weapons for OS. Everyone who had to respec constantly was complaining about 1. the cost and 2. the fact that they couldn’t even save a template and had to redo them every single time.
No hybrid classes were valuable and every so-called “hybrid” spec was pushed into healing. There were precisely 0 enhancement or elemental shamans, 0 retribution paladins, 0 shadowpriests in raids if the guild was even half-decent.
What’s sickening is this illusion that you can somehow pose as an “OG” player who knows anything about “the spirit of that era” when it’s crystal clear that you’ve never played it and, left to discover things on your own, you’d still be trying to raid hogger. At level 60.
Reading this my only question is why you are here in the first place since you are the one who appareantly doesn’t like classic / era. Which is fine but i don’t understand what your doing here.
I can go through all the stuff your saying but there is no point and it proves my concerns about the hate towards other opinions.
One thing for certain. My reason for not tanking in Classic TBC and Wrath was not the cost of a respec or any other thing but the toxic players. By what you write here that has not changes one iot, so I won’t be tanking in Anniversary servers either. Thanks for confirming.
