I played 20 years ago and I welcome dual spec with open arms and open legs.
My only fear is that now the world will be filled with the literal killing machine “shadow priest”

As someone always wondering how Era looks like after its resurrection, I’ve always imagined it could be fun to have the personal projects of maxing a single class character with top gear and then moving onto another, never losing that progress.
But yeah, I also dread how can one find dungeon or raid groups to work on that personal project without having to pay gold if GDKP groups become the majority. In my life I’ve maybe taken part of such raids twice, as a “pumper” in TBC classic. Was fun getting paid to provide a “carry”, but when you actually need the gear, I’d rather not have to resort to something illegal just to keep up with the people who may have a hoard of mystery gold to splurge with…
Era could be fun without the GDKP part…But given we don’t have a real fresh Era, it might be a hurdle to be the new guy amongst the old timers. Eh, we’ll see how this goes, I’m not dying of old age any time soon, started playing WoW when I was 19, now I am 36. And if I can find likeminded people who enjoy classic WoW in a decade or few, I’ll be there!

You claimed they stated this before the changes. What you are posting now is the change they made.

what about the rest of the player feed back? The part that wants to know what happens after BC, would like RP servers, would like HC TBC servers and in short would like a bit more information?

If SoD and Fresh have GDKP banned, I do not see why they should not be banned for ERA as well.
Even Blizzard acknowledges the sh*tshow they turn the game into, and hence why they take action.
ERA only has GDKPs as a major negative versus the other two versions. Remove that and voilà.

A pity there’s one other annoying issue for me in megaservers or otherwise “refuge servers” for a game mode Blizzard forgot about. Character names. Not looking forward for 21st and the queue hardmode event. Thankfully, I really don’t post around these parts with names I wanna use…But given Firemaw as an Era server has all my cool names taken, apart from maybe one at best…
I don’t know why you keep arguing about what I said. It’s pretty straightforward.
They stated it before on SoD yeah and now they are stating it for the fresh ERA. They might even have stated it during the Blizzard Direct but I don’t feel like sifting through available material to prove a point you’re too lazy/dishonest to acknowledge.
Keep asking until you get a blue post I reckon.
I’m not a Blizzard employee so I can’t answer that for you but RP servers probs won’t appear for fresh, HC TBC is a no-go. It’s clearly stated on the blue post.
As to what happens after TBC I reckon they don’t say much because they are not decided yet. They will most certainly keep monitoring feedback and if a majority of the player-base ask for WotLK they’ll indulge, otherwise they will keep it as a TBC.
having dual spec will mean more people will play healers. playing healer on a pvp realm absolutely sucks, outside of grouped content it’s an absolute drag and people quit the game or get burnt out because of this. Dual spec is a welcomed change for the majority of players. Hope you can learn to love it

Read the post realesed after the Warcraft direct on the 13th about Ani servers. They staited they are listening to player feedback about changes.
I think they left ERA unattended and clearly do not care a lot for people playing actively there. They promised they will have these servers for ever and they kept this promise. Now, the community there went to a way it is repulsive for me. Insane AH prices, GDKPs everywhere, excessive ganking to levelers etc.
I will be blunt and say that I don’t want players with this mindset on the same server. So I am really happy they do not like the changes.
This is just on Firemaw though, Pyrewood is fine. Sure there is inflation but that happens naturally as the server ages. GDKPs don’t exist there, luckily.

Duel spec FTW > 70% of us dont have time to grind for the re spec cost every week because of you know life…
If you don’t have the time then maybe it’s not the game for you. The game and its core pillars is not supposed to be changed because people don’t have time, what kind of entitled mentality is this…
Imagine whining because of the need to grind a bit of gold, in a grinding, carrot and stick, loot-based game. Are you sure you will manage to reach level 60 or should the leveling be accelerated in order to once again cater to you ? ‘‘because of you know life…’’…
I’m losing braincells reading these kinds of posts, as well as losing faith in humanity as a whole. Well done !

What a drama queen. Please, for the love of god, stay away from these servers. If this rattles your cage this much, imagine what not getting a certain piece of loot will do to you.
