Please stop rushing the content progression on anniversary

And we only want ONE slow paced server, you can keep your min-max, no-fun allowed greedy anniversary server.

I don’t know if you’re purposefully ignorant at this point. Having it from the start means you lose 3 additional resets of MC and 6 resets of Ony. Having it with a 3 week delay means no matter what pace you’re going, you don’t lose those resets. In addition, more players will be 60 within 3 weeks than there would be within 1, thus the effect is clearly there. You just happen to not be within it.

It’s in your head, it doesn’t actually degarde anything but if you still think it does, that’s a you problem, not an actual problem for most players.

It’s not just my preferred pace, it’s Blizzards too. One thing Blizzard is good at is calculating the release windows to ensure the maximum amount of players subs or remains subbed. This is clearly what works for them and I don’t see anyone unsubbing over a fast schedule. Find a more suitable game for yourself if this pace is too fast for you.

No data = no argument. You are underestimating how much time most players are willing to invest in this game. Until you can prove otherwise with an actual stat, I will assume you are wrong since Blizzard has stats and analytics dictating what type of schedule will ensure most players remain subbed. In the meantime however, you can check ironforge pro and see how many logged raiders are in the game (level 60s) and try to imagine if the higher number is below that level.

Honestly if you believe more players from the total amount log in for 4+hrs every single day than not, you’re delusional. The majority of the playerbase has always been the “relatively” casual players, it’s a widely accepted fact in wow but you can act like it’s not true. Such data you ask for will never be released by the company itself and I think we both know that, speculations exist for a reason and most of the time they help someone reach a conclusion.

In addition nope, it’s not in our heads, this game’s timeline was never designed to be squished in a year and I explained why earlier. Bear in mind I’m personally not asking for a 2 year duration or something, but 18-20 months would’ve been perfect in my opinion.

I like it fast, keeps things relevant

You will most likely have more than 12 months before TBC releases though. In Classic 2019 there was a 6 month period of just Naxx phase. My entire point is that this isn’t fast and that there’s still plenty of time, the phase we just got was a catch-up phase.
On ironforge.pro there are currently 20k logged characters on Spineshatter in the raiding scene. I find it very hard to believe there’s currently more than 20k players still actively leveling their first character. 2 months is more than enough time to hit 60 even if you’re a casual.

Saw the topic on reddit with poll for voting about the speed. I know it’s not a relevant source, but the majority voted it goes way too fast.

People wants to re-experience the content, not to rush it, to enjoy in it between obligations, not to have a feeling that they are slacking and to be pressured to play. At least, these are my thoughts. That is one thing I really like about ERA, it’s stale.

As long as you know the game and play with addons, then yes.

agreed 100%

Let me turn evil for a moment.
If Blizzard wants us to experience multiple WoW editions - Plunderstorm, Remix, at least a bit of Retail, Cata-MoP - and possibly more like D4, they have to give time.

I skipped Cataclysm because of MoPR.

Agree. Most of the time I have enough time to focus on one version of WoW and when I come back to another, like retail, I feel completely lost because they implement content and stuff way too fast.

Classic is my favorite version and I always come back when they announced or release something related to it. It is my safe heaven and place where I feel comfortable the most. I would enjoy even more if it is more stale and not rushed.

How you can not “rush” game that is for 1 year?

I don’t agree at all.
We had one additional phase with what
pvp ranking and more 5man dungones.
There’s not even any new raids yet. We got MC and Ony still.

The norm of content releases makes no sense for an old version of the game. 90% knows how it works, there’s no real progression in raids.
Any slower and people get bored and stop playing between phases.
The OG release of classic was horribly slow.

So rapidly

This version is over a YEAR long

Slower and the nolifers will perhaps be a little bored, but that’s their problem, a game does not have to adapt to the excessive playing time of players who spend their lives with their butt on their sweat-stinking gaming chair.

And even better, but I understand that a small Indy company doesn’t have the means to set this up, two types of servers, one for sweaty gamers and another one for those who just want to rediscover Classic and be able to quietly play for fun, the nostalgic, the public that each iteration of Classic loses because of the sweats/min-maxers who rush the game.

I totally agree with the above mechanically but I don’t think that “sweaty nolifer” vs “lazy bad dad” helps the arguments.

Essentially it’s down to time, I used to play with a guy who was assigned to work for a month or two then got identical amount off. That job also invalidated any relationship (another friend has quit a job for that, it wasn’t terrible except he was assigned to Kuwait which is fine and dandy but he couldn’t bring her girlfriend because religious state rules).

Same applies to me in inverse, I didn’t run my daily dungeon yesterday because the travel took 25 minutes (Train Simulator has more engaging gameplay) and then I had 50 minutes left to find a party (quick as tank), wait for them (random), and actually do the run. I planned with 1 dungeon a day, 7-9 a week (2 chars), but I’m already adjusting that to 3-6, and consequently the time to level is up from 6 months to 9-12. (Currently 37 and 32, do the extrapolation.) I also did the unspeakable and played 90 minutes of Era this morning, and might visit retail or Cataclysm sometime.

I agree
ANniversary is so much fun than original classic with the population and faction balance+ dual spec
I really would love it to last longer
