Please,bring back personal loot!

Never are secondary stats more important than main stat which means you wouldnt downgrade gear like that unless you are a “bad player”
On top of that, if you are so good, do hc or mythic instead and stop coming into lfr or normal to need on loot you dont need.

I wouldn’t say never. We’re late in the expansion and secondaries are plentiful with people reaching multiple stat DR’s so it’s less obvious now, but in earlier patches a lot of specs would have sacced 6-10 ilvl for better optimised stats, even on items like gloves or boots.

I can assure you that 463 world content mastery neck simmed better than max level heroic ouroboros necklet (483?) for my aug.

Ofcourse changes can be made, i am not saying that the changes i proposed are perfect. I am just saying it would be a good base to start from and then can be tuned with regards to for example tier and trinkets.

Neck doesnt give main stat so thats another exception. As i said just now, ofcourse changes have to be made to what i proposed but it would be a good start.

dude - you have no clue - I had plenty of trinkets in my wow life that simmed worse than lower ilvl.
e.g. 441 vessel of searing shadows simmed better for my mage than a bunch of 476+ trinkets I got.
certain weapons of lower ilvl will sim better, say all the “cantrip” weapons might have a potential to sim better than higher ilvl “bare” stat sticks.
So please, shush and stop embarrassing yourself.

Please start reading to not embarrass yourself and read 3 posts up. I literally said that changes can and should be made.
Reading is so hard to some people…

I don’t care to read a whole 228-post thread to see small details of your opinions - I saw your idiotic post that you shouldn’t ever be able to roll on lower ilvl which is a horribly stupid idea and I showed you clear examples why it’s stupid and you try to die on this hill? hilarious.

That explains a lot, you only care to read what you want to read, resulting in scuffed views and insulting other people, got it.

I’ve seen enough in this to see you have NO CLUE whatsoever.

Apparently you didnt, which is very evident in your previous post, as you literally said you dont care to read.

I think the better question is should we be designing gear acquisition around the assumption someone min maxes their character according to simcraft? Or rather does Blizzard want to take that step? I’ve met tonnes of people who just want to use XYZ thing to XYZ reason regardless of it being a dps upgrade for them. People who enjoy having high haste on casters for example.

Going back to this for a moment, we’d also need to change the way transmog is acquired because due to the revolving door nature of PuGs and alts the number of people who need an item in a given pug never really reaches zero on average. Something like higher tier versions of items unlock all the models for lower versions, or just all items that drop have their appearances added to every present player’s collections automatically.

Ive seen several people suggest that a hc item should unlock the normal and lfr appearance as well and i really like that idea.

Eh, they posted something. I countered, they added caveats. Two individuals with different positions share their viewpoints and reach a new position, that’s literally how debate / negotiation works. You waltzing in here and disagreeing with a point that has already been conceded adds nothing and is the definition of bad faith.

nah - the Internet debate is about yelling your idea at others, defending your position more and more and continuing the “discussion” just to piss someone else off first.

Makes total sense to me, however some may say that it cuts down the time you have to spend chasing certain items which is not good for Blizzard.

As for the topic at hand, I tend not to inspect people that win items over me because I know I may be in for a world of anger lol I’d love for them to bring back PL to LFR, etc.

I think LFR should probably work like Mythic+

PL + Loot at the end to discourage early leaving / keep groups together, maybe even have items not be announced. LFR should, in my opinion, be designed to reduce player friction as much as possible.

GL and PL do have pros and cons in more organised content, especially if blizzard continues to tie the trading restrictions to PL, but LFR it doesn’t really have advantages.

No you judge it that way. You can’t speak for the community. The community is giving it’s opinion in threads like this and others. There are for and against and all sorts of varied views within.

Under PL nobody can need on my loot then sell it to the highest bidder. It is my loot. It goes directly into my bags. I will go back to being well rewarded for taking part in raids and get two items per clear. PL was more rewarding because all the items that drop are for the classes and specs present. Unlike now where it’s anything off the loot table whether people are present or not. It’s so hard to get loot in LFR. I had to get the appearances of the LFR tier set using the catalyst and vault because unlike under PL, it’s pretty much a waste of time trying to get loot from the raid.

Blizzard really needs to do something to address the bad behaviours it’s now created swapping to GL. All they had to do was make PL tradeable regardless of ilvl to stop the complaints from those who didn’t like having to get ilvl first.
