Please,bring back personal loot!

I read most of the thread, and I think I get the gist of it, but aren’t PL proponents forgetting something? We already have Personal Loot.

The Great Vault

It functions EXACTLY how personal loot did, except you actually get something out of it every week guaranteed (so long as you do the content). And the more content you do, the more you get rewarded. Except that instead of getting 215g on 3/4 bosses, you can choose between an item, or tokens to upgrade the ones you already have.

The solution here isn’t to go back in time to personal loot.
It all lies in how the roll system currently works.

As it stands, if you roll for transmog, and even just one person rolls need, you don’t get that mog. Add that to the fact most of us can roll on gear, even if we don’t need it, and it’s almost like it is encouraged.

The way it SHOULD work is as follows:

  • Need, Greed and Mog rolls.
  • With the following priority order for the item: Need > Greed. (obviously).
  • And a separate roll, for the transmog unlock, that is not attached to owning the item itself.

Player A wins a need roll with a 76, and Player B wins a mog roll with a 86, player A gets the item, and all that comes with it, while player B gets the mog unlock, and ONLY the mog unlock. Be it via direct unlock, or a token.

In the case of a token, it would be cool to have it be account bound, so I can send it to alts that can actually use it.
(this will cease to be an issue come 11.0, but while we are in 10.0, would be pretty cool to have)

He’s right though

very true, what is applicable for closed classic communities doest belong in retail.

Or say ‘Gold cap or GTFO’ usually works

i guess this won’t happen until american streamers get mad about it and talk about it on twitter…

I think you might of misunderstood my whole point. I am against GL for many reasons, one of them extreme amount of toxicity that it brings. People rolling on all they can roll, selling items, kicking people from groups etc etc. With PL you have 2 items guaranteed, whilst with GL you can get 0 items at all, even if you farm the raid on few difficulties every week. Because everyone needs on everything.
Also, funny thing, how comes i CAN trade gold to a random dude from another server, but i CAN’T send gold/items to my alts that are on another server

American streamers wont get mad, sadly, because it benefits them the most during the world first race,so its money vs “casual players” aka us all

You really only need just one,
Asmon has already backtracked from harder dungeons and rare loot to smooth dungeons and gearing over the last few years.
But master loot is precious for Asmon, cause his twitch audience cheers on unequal distribution of loot.
So little hope there.

Probably the best idea ive read on this post regarding the mog rolls

No thanks. Group loot rewards people willing to put in the work.

Most of the players in game hate group loot. Everyone who has alts and tries to gear them up,hate group loot
Only trolls saying its better. Imagine saying getting zero items is better than getting 2 items every raid
Just trolling really

End game gear is only relevant for those raiding or m+.
A normal player as you call then has no need for it. But if it bothers you just join a guild its an MMO.

The level of entitlement from someone who doesn’t want to push endgame orbe social is staggering here.

Jesus christ I think you need to work on your social skills as it took me a few mins to translate this mess of a message.

I’m all for the return of personal loot, group loot is just awful and encourages toxicity.

Based on the spell check and coherence of your text I assume you are the Blizzard guy who pushed for group loot in LfR.
I am grateful that you can be here with us and provide your magnificent and insightful take.

Another thing is it’s ironic coming from a player who spends their life in a game grinding hardest content for gear to turn around to a casual player who is in more likely more sociable in real life so they don’t have as much time to game so can’t commit to a guild schedule and accuse them of being entitled for not being sociable in a video game lmfao, that’s real entitlement there.

You can tell you guys all have bad arguments because you jump on some mis hits on a phone from a guy with 10% vision so good going on attacking a disability.
I’ll just sit here knowing you all have such low social abolitty no guild would let you run raids with them.

Last I checked a majority of phones come with auto correct and spell checkers as standard but you jumped on the I’m disabled train as if that’s a card worth pulling with all of today’s QoL features.

Try not to be aggresive towards people with your pretencious assumptions about their social abilities or prefered content difficulty and you wont need to cover under your mortal condition right after as a victum.
Than may be, just may be, you might not be the parody of the tough socially adjusted raider you aim to present yourself.
