Please,bring back personal loot!

“I want loot” is the reason people are doing content in the first place. Not the desire to roll, not the progress, in the end it’s only and only about getting things for oneself. This is why people are increasingly toxic since GL was implemented, because aside from organized groups no one owes anyone nothing, and now a toxic raid leader can manipulate things in their own favour easier than during PL. If you and your group don’t have this issue, good for you, but don’t assume yours is the only way or that guildless people don’t deserve something as well.

The problem is not the ‘‘I want loot’’ the problem is that you guys think you deserve the loot more than others.

You guys act like when people roll on loot its a bad thing when it really isnt. Fact is, they also killed the boss, they also did their part… so they have the right to roll for whatever reason. YOU are not the one to decide WHO can roll on what.

You guys still get loot. Its easier to get fullbuild than ever. They didnt reduced the loot.

And plz dont act like you guys needed every piece you get. Thats simply not true, because PL comes with lots of unneeded/unwanted loot that you dont need be it for wrong stats or because you allready have it.

Again: Make people not able to kick others while in combat. Problem solved.

I am guildless, I do most of my content in pugs. In my WoW-history I raided more in pugs than I did raided in guilds.

Lol, GL existed since the game started. PL was added later… and thank god it retired again and we have GL back.

GL worked for many years before it got removed and it will work for as long it exists.

If you haven’t noticed, we want everyone to have 2-3 pieces of loot for every cleared raid, not all for us. Because it’s possible to not take anyone with the same loot table you have or kick them right before the boss is killed, but it’s wrong and we know it.

The overall numbers may not have changed, but it doesn’t mean the distribution is the same. It’s far worse, and if you say you get a whole set in a couple runs, you’re lucky either with rolls or group composition. Not everyone can say the same.

Stop saying things for the others. I don’t want to decide anything, I want everyone to have loot they can use, not warglaives dropping in groups with no DHs while you’re either a troll or you’ve a great case of a survivor’s mistake.

That ship sailed when you said:

The dont take anyone with the same loottable is up to the one making the group.

The kicking needs to be fixed… so for the 100th time, if thats the problem make people not able to kick in combat.

Overall its the same amout of loot.

Yeah yeah, I know… ''I dont got a single item for 5 weeks :< ‘’

You realize that with PL most of the loot you got was garbage? Getting loot you dont need is the same as not getting loot. And thanks to the system you were so restricted you couldnt even give it away most of the time, which made it essencial less loot overall.

GL unlike PL doesnt have a single problem on its own, the problem is people being buttholes on some occasions, which can be fixed easily without going back to the inferior PL

It’s still an abuse of the system. Just like stacking a full group of the same armor type or even the class was, but even worse.

You’re not to decide what is garbage and what’s not. Some trinkets have use in RP for the cool effects, there’s still transmog acquisition and other needs. If anything, garbage loot is worth some gold or can be traded to someone who actually needs an upgrade. Having options is always better than not.

You can’t fix people’s ability and willingness to be toxic. At least, you can’t without far, far bigger efforts than not letting them be toxic in the first place. And that’s why there should be a choice between the loot options, so that those who want GL like you could do that on their own risk while those who’d prefer PL could enjoy some guarantees.

The option for:

  • Personal loot
  • Master loot
  • Every other loot choice

In pre-made content…!

And in LFG content; Personal Loot, 100%

That’s the way.

Lol, its not abuse of the system. You enter, see whats in there, dont like it? GO!

And if someone doesnt invite people with a certain loot table, they shot themselves in the foot, because outside of Ele/Restro- Every single class grants a ton of extra stats.

Yes, I can. Everything not needed is garbage.

You realize that you now basically argued FOR GL? Because all these things are easier to get with GL.

Yes, you can?

If getting kicked while killing the boss is a problem, remove the ability to do so.

You’ve just accused me in trying to decide for the others and do the same now. A garbage for you may be useful for the others, so please cease advocating solutions that would benefit you over a whole crowd of people.

Except that it’s not because a lot of people roll for it as well and there’s no guarantee you get anything, useful or not.

Then pray tell me, how can I be sure I won’t get kicked on a raid leader’s whim right before the boss fight ends?

Not really, as I didnt defined what is not needed.

Need can be whatever you want to be needed. But I hardly believe that getting the same legs twice or more is needed, As I doubt you need 3 different kind of the same slot that looks all the same thanks to blizzards lazyness and this is was PL basically was.

There is also no garantue that you get what you want in PL, its even less likely.

PL is still a thing in M+ and I hate it. I was quite a lot in ToT (Ì hate the dungeon) for my BIS trinket, and I havnt seen it drop once… but so much fun to keep getting crap.

Thats for blizzard to fix

Again, we return to the same matter. I agree that the same item dropping more than once is useless, but guaranteed piece of loot is better than its absence only because of bad luck simply because it’s more than nothing. Useful or not. I’m sorry that you don’t always get what you want, but it’s what it is anywhere.

Oh, indeed, good luck finding 5 people that cover all the possible loot from a specific dungeon so no drop’s useless. If personal loot is removed from there as well, there will be even less reason to do M+ than it’s now, thanks to quite possible dead drops.

I play for cosmetics. I have very little use for ilvl upgrades. I do world content and occationally LFR. You barely need gear for that, so my cosmetic is worth just as much to me as your ilvl is to you.

I can basically say the same, and I personally think that wasted loot is worse than no loot.

I am not saying, that they need to change PL for M+. I just dont like it

If they would they would need to increase the loot, basically making every boss grants 1 item at the end of the run.

I dont understand your problem.

i am 484 as of today and didnt get 1 item from rolls.
You can gear up to max without ever roling on anything.

Do some M+ and Raids, transfrom m+ loot to set items, open your Vault, craft some gear and bam 484.

NP 1-2 Weeks.

Thats why it allways makes me angry when people start to argue about loot in Guilds.
Noone “needs” anything anymore with how the system works right now.

edit. i belive you could starts dissenchanting every item that drops in a Raid and everyone could still be at 480+ within a week.

You are assuming everyone play the game like you. It doesn’t work that way.

Glad you got your stuff, but the rest of the playerbase aren’t filling their slots whenever you get a new piece of gear.

But you should and then keep playing and replace it with gear that has stats you need.
Still it only takes 1-2 weeks.

This sums it up pretty well.

I play M+ as maingame. And have no luck at all (allways the same items). Still managed to go to 480 ilvl this week.

Crafting gives you the stats you want.

At some point you get a drop you like that you can easily upgrade higher ilvl.
You use sparks for the Tset.

  • the vault is almost allways an upgrade (Due to Sparks.)

Dont bother replying to him anymore, hes just a troll
It doesnt matter what a random says on forums anyways. In game everyone is angry about group loot, all it takes is join a pug run or lfr
Here is a lot of mambo jambo verbal diarheea ,empty words, confirmation bias, exageration and straight up lies

But its not really though… do you gain anything from having the mogs? If you don’t get that tmog does it prevent you from doing other content? No it doesn’t. So because you WANT (not need) the tmog, you think it entitles you to need on that item when their is a tmog option on the roll. But that tmog option is just there for decoration right?

Look i get the rolling system isn’t the best but i don’t and wont agree that needing for tmog aint a d*ck move. No one ever plays a game and buys a cosmetic because they need it? They buy it because they want it. There is a massive difference imo.

Don’t discard mogs so easily. Sure, there are people who doesnt care the least about them. But it is still classified as an MMORPG game(whenever that is true or not is different topic and lets NOT go there) with your own character to develop.
Looking good can be just as important as doing number X DPS in logs or dmg meters.
