We going around in circles because ur disregarding the counter arguments
No,it doesnt dissapear,it is distributed unfairly where people can get all the items from a boss, even if they dont need,it goes to people looking to sell loot,it goes to bis players who joined to roll for their friends
This level of toxicity was unseen in personal loot.
Also can anyone post any topics against personal loot? Because i was looking and couldnt find anything, whereas only this year theres about 7 anti group loot
This seems a very obtuse view that I see repeated over and over.
Five drops specifically catering to the classes and specs present in that raid
Vs
Five completely random drops that may or may not be useful
As someone who runs a lot of LFR to gather the sets. I had to give up getting in from LFR itself. I have gathered the set by converting things in the catalyst and getting options from the vault.
It simply does not work well. Even in guild runs we get so much rubbish loot no one can use. At least in a raid we can distribute the loot fairly and have scumbags taking loot with a view to selling it. We also don’t kick five of our team before a kill on Fyrakk to have more loot for ourselves. All lovely side effects of GL. Under PL people would just have received their loot in the mail.
PL was just better. Funnily enough I didn’t take that long to get my M plus gear, it’s PL and totally repeatable ofc. We all trade to each other in M+. I’ve made a few healers happy trying to help my friends get a Balefire trinket and I get the other one instead
People always complain about not getting enough loot.
Cata random HC dropped what, 6 items per run? Nobody cared what loot system it was using because there was so much loot.
Now everyone’s busy fighting over breadcrumbs.
Funnily enough I’m still missing a trinket even though I’ve almost outgrown aspect crests.
So the loot system works great as long as it drops 0.4 items per player instead of 0.2 (M+ vs raid) as long as it’s spammable, and as long as you have people to help you. Gotcha.
The system that respects your class and spec is what works. That is the issue.
I can’t keep saying it.
You kinda disregard all the good points that go against your opinion and thats confirmation bias
You’re ignoring the fact that right now the system compensates for generating unusable loot by producing a higher number of items in total. So the bottom line is you’re not getting fewer upgrades from raids than in SL, it’s just more random and seems less because you’re probably not pressing need on items you don’t need.
If it seems like I’m ignoring your points, it’s because I’m ignoring arguments based on emotion, such as “it makes me feel sad to lose a roll”.
I 100% agree that the most aspects of the current system were a failed attempt at curbing the impact of split runs, but in exchange you guys should also concede that PL (as seen in M+) only works because it’s a superbuffed and spammable version of Shadowlands PL (which wasn’t the pinada your rose tinted glasses make it out to be).
Still havent answered my 2 questions
- At the beginning of a season, what loot system is best? A guaranteed class and spec loot drop with a +15/20 ilvl increase,or random loot from a loot table that might not benefit anyone?
- The argument of “getting crap loot I dont need” , cannot be used against PL only, it can be used the same against group loot, when the only things one need is a trinket or a neck you will spend a long time until you get it,unless you get lucky. No loot system will ever help you with that, unless its deterministic as we had with broker dinars
I answered it 3 times, you just didn’t understand it and I can’t help you with that.
No you havent, you dodged three times the question because u cant cope with the truth that personal loot was the superior loot system
A few twics like being able to trade unwanted items, would have made it perfect
Instead we getting players kicked at Fyrakk 5%
Enjoy
That’d be stupidly broken you’d be fully geared in like 3 weeks
But its not though lol
Your progression path with mogs is a personal thing. As ive stated prior, without tmogs you arent unable to do certain things of the game. No one has ever said “you cant join my raid because you dont have the right mogs”
I completely understand the personal progression or rpg progression where as if i dont get the next ilvl upgrade i cant do higher content thus not advancing in the game.
I like collecting the tier sets but i wouldnt prevent someone from going into higher keys/raids so i can collect a mog i may never use.
As ive said i think the system isnt the best. I liked the idea that there should be a need roll and mog roll but no doubt players will find a way to abuse that also.
Plus, their are other ways you can get mogs… catalyst, upgrades etc where as there comes a certain point where the only way you improve ilvl is by getting the next tier of gear e.g veteran < champion.
But you can argue how important it is for your character to look good but i still dont think people should be hitting the need button when there is a mog button. Its a WANT not a NEED
Just want to add i do sympathise for mog collectors… but when you needing on the stuff i actually need… my opinion of you may change
I have no issue understanding your point of view. I used to be a progression player, but over the years I’ve changed and come to a few realisations which changed my opinion on it. Mogs and ilvl are simply even in my book these days, but for different reasons.
It is also a fact that a lot of the obession with itemelevel is to make up for mechanical/rotational failures, so some people do actually chase absurd itemlevels for certain content that isn’t even necessary. It is however a carrot on a stick, just like the mogs. For mythic+ you obviously want to constantly push your gear alongside your personal abilities, and that’s fine… but were we not talking about needing for mogs in LFR? I am sure you can get past the LFR loot through other means, like someone yesterday pointed about(getting to ilvl 480 in 1-2 weeks).
I am not needing for mogs on obviously high itemlevel gear unless nobody can benefit from it(not doing that type of content atm anyways), but in LFR or 5 man dungeons(not mythic+) I will care just as little as “everyone” else and click need if I do not have the mog already.
I constantly hear these nice words about the catalyst solving all the mog problems though, but I think that might just be the case if you do run a lot of content. I have not been able to get more than some tier pieces from the catalyst since it was released, since I just don’t manage to loot enough items that can be converted. I do love the catalyst for this purpose, but it is a grind on it’s own(I do not mind) that seem to require more playtime than people realise to unlock even full tier sets.
But we are. And no matter how many people tell you they got geared faster and more often under PL, you ignore it.
It is harder to get loot, the loot you can even use drops less now than ever before because GL does not respect the Classes or specs present.
Under normal circumstances you have each class present, you have multiple specs present that need all kinds of loot. Under normal circumstances EVERY SINGLE ITEM is somewhat needed in GL. IF someone allready has a better item, its not different to PL giving you all the same BS.
If you just invite X-times the same spec without caring about anything its your fault. Its that simple.
PL gave you mostly bad stuff you didnt needed. For the average player you could easily surpass the SAFE UPGRADE, that some of you praise here, in 2 weeks and than your gear was as strong or allready better. So after 2 weeks it allready was mostly garbage.
And how do I know? I went multiple weeks of getting non upgrades… And I rather have no loot than getting garbage.
M+ makes it just extremely easy to gear, the upgrade system makes it even easier. IN FACT GREARING IS EASIER THAN EVER.
M+ gearing is fine because it’s PL.
Pls bring Back personal loot Like in m+
This lootsytem in RAID ist garbish and No fun
Literally geared my shaman only by upgrading. The amount of garbage you get in M+ is unbelievable. I get loot every 4-8 Dungeon, than its garbage.
PL sucks hard even in M+. The only saving grace is that you can run as much as you want.
I btw still having the Trinket from ToT yet beside spamming it like crazy.
Nothing about getting an item randomly in your inventar than seeing its an piece you dont need is fun either.
PL is inverior to GL
It’s fantastic, the drops are geared towards the classes and specs present.
I geared very easily in M+, sadly raid is a completely different story. I have geared via catalyst, m plus and vault. Still trying to get the things I need from raid.
You had people pass you loot, so it’s like an Echo member saying “raid gearing is easy” after doing their 20th split run.
