Hello everyone i just want to understand the point in facing always premades in pvp if im alone and i just want to run a pug to enjoy some fights and not stay in graveyard all the time getting raped by an organised team ? is this correct ? why just premades dont face premades and pug’s face pug’s or atleast not a full organized team … this is the most dismotivating thing that im apreciating in classic experience and i love pvp, blizzard please we all need you to do something about this topic .
Please read this as an outburst from an old school player.
Because it’s a social design choice. Facing premades is supposed to motivate you to find your own premade to increase your chance to win. If everyone did it, it’d become like raiding, get it? Instead of the solo player nonsense aRPG-esque crap you see in retail all over the place.
Also, kudos on not showing any understanding of premade exploits. Yeah yeah, some people think it’s “fixed”, but it’s not. It’s just made harder to do. But if they’d separate the matchmaking in the way you’re suggesting, there’d undoubtedly appear a lot of premades doing new exploits to only face pugs and therefore make everyone stuck with that horrible system which makes it meaningless to do so.
It’s higher honor per hour after all to do so in a matchmaking system like that.
Your mindset screams entitlement and “I don’t want to play with other people, I’d be happier playing with bots!”.
My mindset screams “i want a fair game against solo players when i’m solo , and premade game when i’m on a premade group , not a waste of time in a graveyard without a option to cast even a small healing bandage”
Don’t worry you would get crushed against an Alliance PuG too. I normally twink to get the experience your after but if I solo queue on my main and get lucky facing a horde pug then 100% of the time we win every time. I ain’t even joking, horde pugs are terrible in WSG.
Some people have a life, meaning they do not have time to get into a full rank 13 premade. These people are being left out of PvP entirely by the current environment. Making premades have to face other premades (at over 5 people) would go some way to fixing the issue of a huge part of the playerbase being locked out of PvP content right now.
That’s not how this game was designed. Do you want it tailored made for you?
A change like what you suggest would lead to further changes to the entire honor system, including changing rewards etc. Let’s change the whole game while we’re at it.
If this change gets implemented then it would screw every premade badly, promoting soloing over grouping on a social game. Are you saying you’re more special and deserve a better treatment over the premade players then?
No one’s locked out of anything. It’s your choice to play a pug instead of spending some time organizing a group or joining a group even if you can only afford enough time to queue for a couple of matches. Where were you in Vanilla when this was already the standard?
It was not EVERY game in vanilla. You cannot face a pug anymore as a pug, especially with scouts cheating the whole time. I played vanilla and it was less than half of the matches against premades.
Maybe on your low pop pve server. Let’s add LFR too because we need to cater for those players that have a life and can’t afford the time to wait for a 40 men group or raid at standard times.
Then accept that some parts of the game will be harder or simply unavailable to you.
Vanilla was always designed to be socially immersive. Everything to be very time-consuming.
Classic is now a game meant to replicate that design philosophy, which unfortunately this massive xrealm pool (which is from retail) doesn’t fit into, but that doesn’t mean they should change even more.
If you want convenience, and if you want a game where you can “have a life” as well, then go to retail. It’s literally DESIGNED for people like you and the OP.
Private servers made premades face premades because it killed the competitive element of pvp, having fully geared ranked and potted people stomp the graveyard all day. You simply CANNOT go in warsong gulch anymore for fun, it has to be in a premade, which is not available to casual players.
This is a hyperbolic statement, and twists the narrative. It’s not “fun” you’re looking for, it’s winning you’re looking for. Without the effort required to do it.
This is the retail mentality.
If you ONLY want it to be fun, then you wouldn’t mind removing ALL honor and reputation from that “solo queue only” matchmaking, right?
I’ve yet to see a single person say they’re ok with that. At most, there was one saying he’s ok with “reduced” honor for it.
But see, that just means you’re doing it for the REWARDS, and not for “fun”. And you’re simply not eligible to get the rewards if you “have a life” and don’t want to branch out socially, yet because YOU can’t play the game as much as it’s designed for, you want the game to CATER to you.
Go back to retail. Retail is DESIGNED for people like you. Infinitely pointless for Blizzard to only provide the same option of gameplay for both versions of WoW, it just reduces the size of the overall player pool.
Accept the fact that the game has exclusive content, meaning that it EXCLUDES people like you. Retail is made to be as inclusive as possible.
Also, the frustration is supposed to motivate you to get better, to get your own premade, and then work hard to beat other premades, making it more competitive in the end.
You can achieve a high rank through nothing but AV as a solo queuer, and WPvP if you need to, and of course you can also acquire gear from raiding. That, and consumables, is enough to find a place in a premade of your own.
Also, BGs has only been out for 2½ months, as well as the abomination of AV premades making it too convenient for many people, which in turn has prolonged the process for the PvP “tourists” to leave.
It was always expected from the start that players would quit Classic. It was also expected that it’d be able to maintain a core playerbase, which it is still doing. So right now is just the bunch of whiners and tourists still in the middle of leaving because it’s not as convenient as retail.
I think it’s you that are imagining things. Also it’s fine to quit and have a small player pool that you would describe as a dead game, this version of the game would never cater to a large enough player pool because of today’s retail mentality and it wasn’t designed for the masses.
