what else you gonna do with your gold? save for cata lul?
Agree… 10 symb
Why would you assume this? It’s wishful thinking because classic so far has been much shorter than the original run. At some point Blizzard will have to announce a plan for the future of Classic, and it’s likely going to be based around boosting numbers in the offseason between releases.
I’m very doubtful we will see an ICC phase anywhere close as long as the original, I also doubt they will gate it like they did originally (they didn’t gate Sunwell either).
After half of the people quits during ulduar because this super cool imba best raid ever is actually absolute trash and they get burned out on it after two months, blizz will think twice before making long phases again … they will super rush through ToC and ICC will be doomed by aligning with some quarterly reports and they will pump it just to get green numbers …
After that its the “whats his name” raid and cataclysm release …
Cataclysm will see a huge drop-off compared to Wrath. I am sure the nerfs of ICC will be served slowly just like in original for everyone to finish their classic project. I hope we can make it to MoP, but that is unlikely.
I think it wont be as dramatic as people believe … for me it ends with wotlk, but theres tons of addicts who will play cata just because its “new content” and tons of other people who cant wait for classic retail …
Especially stuff like LFR and transmog are going to hit the player base massively based on blizz decision what to do with them …
I think the same. The majority of my guild has already decided they will continue on in cata, me included, though I’m not sure I’ll stick with it all the way through. I might go on until the release of DS, kill it once and then call it until MoP.
As for cata features, I hope they will add transmog from the start. Maybe don’t add LFR, I dunno.
This statement is applicable in litterally every scenario in the game ever. But yes there are smarter things to do than spend your hard earned gold on items that you have to compete with litterally wallet swipers for. It is not cost/time effective at all if you werent aware.
Pretty much.
There isnt much indication that cata or mop wont be successfull, both expansions had huge playerbases. The falloff of players started slowly in wotlk not after, it just became worse over time and wow had kinda finished with Lich King for the old fans.
Not to mention people grow old of the same old game after years, i mean look at it now compared to cata or mop, wow is a shell of those days now.
Neither of those will really be hitting the population hard (outside tmog prob), LFR might not even be a thing since LFD isnt.
But i can see reforging and a like, the legendaries and more pulling people in and most of all the raids.
I myself as well, is here for the ride, i loved the nostalgia of playing these expansions again, but i would never do it, if it wasnt for the fun times of being together with my guild while doing it. Hell i wouldnt even consider it outside of 1-60 leveling in classic.
The falloff started due to shift from MMOs to MOBAs and other session based games that manifested in 2010 as a trend and took many casual and limited by free time players away from WoW. Sure Cata destroyed world for old players and replacement by new ones wasn’t equal as WoW wasn’t a new game by the time of 4th expansion release. Anyway the patches till Firelands (included) are considered the best part of Cataclysm, but I personally would rather take a break in DS untill MoP.
13-15 years old rerelease isn’t meant for new gamers and I know some people whom I played MoP with who prefer DF over Wrath Classic, despite them coming into Cata from Wrath private servers back in 2011. However as we live on people get older and another generation starts feeling nostalgic even about Legion, so someday Legion Classic might become reality.
Can I please reserve right to make first thread [PEOPLE ALREADY HR PRIMORDIAL SARONITE BLIZZ WAKE UP]?
Yet those normal guilds should be on par with the hardcore guilds who raid 5 times/week because otherwise they’ll be sad and the world is unfair?
No one is forcing anyone to buy the mats on week 1, those who want to will have to pay the price for it though. Seems like a weird thing to change imo.
And thats fine, all in all it just concludes what i am saying, which is people saying cataclysm was immensely bad and the downfall of wow was wrong, we had far worse expansions and the game had far more competition in the game genre, like you mention (mobas).
Where did i say that, i aint flaming the hardcore pop for it, that has nothing to do with the argument, you just make your own argument about me and start attacking it, that is a strawman buddy…
And if you had 2 brain cells to start thinking logically, you would realize that hardcore guilds like my own wont benefit initially from having 5 raids a week. Cause those 5 split raids will have a main day 1 that needs to have started the questline, meaning such a guild would need 125 primordial saronite within the first to second week, that they also cant get from said 25m runs…
Cause you dont care, you wont have to do it, so why care right ?
The problem addressed here is that while buying it week 1 should be expensive, with the huge RMT culture in wotlk having a legendary be gated behind a extremely low droprate (BOE) material, is a huge incentive to have people massively begin buying their gold.
It helps reading the post sometimes buddy.
Sounds like you wont be able to afford it and you need it changed to make it easier for yourself.
I love trolls like you who hide their identity to make posts like this. But i prob have about 10x the amount of gold your whole account has. But why exactly is it that stating a problem that wont necessarily affect you a bad thing ? Thats right it isnt.
After reading just 2 of your posts, yeah straight ignore list for you, who would ever bother wasting their time with a person set on making irrelevant troll replies on a forum lol.
Looks like somebody is hurt because ppl hate his ideas.
i did read the post.
exactly
Sounds like someone is insecure in themselves and projecting much.
If you did, how come you mention things that are contradictory to the initial posts opening statements. Like then you didnt read it fully or comprehend it clearly, as i pointed out.
You could buy Primordial Saronite with Emblems of Frost from the get go, from the vendor inside the entrance hall of ICC.
Someone might’ve already mentioned this above. For those willing to sacrifice their emblems early on, it’ll be a nice money maker. For those wanting fast track their Shadow’s Edge, again, it’ll be fine.
What you’ve talked about here isn’t an issue.
It has already been mentioned.
600ish emblems of frost is not an easy or great alternative to the problem i am advocating for a fix for. Had they been farmable sure, but with a max of around 80 emblems per week per character for doing all content it showcases quite clearly how little it impacts the nature of the expedited phases and lessened ressources. Also the raid was originally released in phases meaning yes you could more easily have time to farm it in time for the release of that part of the questline.
You guys seem to not grasp the situation, problem and solutions in detail. It really helps if people do their homework instead of just commenting, just to comment.
