I voted for it because I like it conceptually (it’s cool to buff a frend), but soon enough I started wishing I had picked S3 instead, given how numerically weak S1 is. Still rather have it over S2 though.
Same for S3. Prot pally would feel better being LESS dependant on Consecration… we got a bonus to make it more meaningful instead. S2 was meaningless, so it’s not like there is a real competition over here.
Extra stacks might not be very fun but it’s handy and it just work well.
Both S2 and S3 tier bonuses have their share of problems, S2 2p being very weak, 4p tying us to crit stacking which isn’t preferable, tier bonus overall providing minimal defensive value. S3 tier suffers from doubling down on awful gameplay loop of sitting in a consecration for benefits which should just be nuked for war within. S1 while being unremarkable in your own dps department provides same throughtput as S2/S3 just in form of mindless vers buffs on your raid while being just fine to play. I’d much rather play s1 tier piece again than have to actively think about proper big consec usage and potentially dropping consec dr uptime to have good big consec value. S2 tier piece was just meh defensively and focused on crit scalling way too much in its power budget.
this feels like a no contest choice for S1 really

I see a lot of comments about the power level of the different tier sets, did people not read the original post ?

With this in mind, if you don’t like the consecration play style why would you vote for it ?
Idk what kind of drugs you’re on but s1 tier piece was 99% uptime no maintanance 6% versa(which is 3% dr) and 5% parry that also gave the versa to a random melee for same duration. While s2 offered a 4k hps Hot as it’s whole defensive value. S2 was dps oriented tier set. It literally had less way less defensive value than s1. Yes S3 is better for both dr and dps but it simply is awful to play around because it’s tied to consec.
I voted for 3rd as I can’t wait to see people farming neck from last raid and rings from 1st raid as they will be broken for “fire” pala. I will just skip sanguine weeks xD
Consecration set bonuses would be cool if they somehow linked/chained the consecration effect to the character. Akin to how the old “classic” consecration used to slightly ‘pulse’ (do i remember this correctly?) - and with each pulse it moves with you.
I mean you guys are just not reading the description of the post…

This means, yes, season 1 were dogsht on basically every spec…
But they are buffing the chosen tier-set to a relative power to the new content, meaning that it might not be dogsht anymore…?
