It’s usually downplayed away with “free will and determination (read: DPS numbers) beat Algalon’s cold logic, Elisande’s untimely vision, etc”, and as for the Old Gods it’s usually something along the likes of “oh yeah their thousand truths has basically become something like brainstorming of the future but with visions” so they can be both right and wrong

Because of the direction they’re taking Sylvanas in I don’t know how any in-universe event with any degree of severity can be taken seriously again. Teldrassil happens in a PoV perspective in a manner far more personal and up-close than say the Burning Legion destroying worlds and after years there’s no payoff, just an impending turn for Sylvanas to become a semi-heroic character again.
Even if with her soul returned she’ll go through a character arc where she has to deal with the consequences of her evil twin’s actions, I don’t know what part of the playerbase is anticipating this with any good faith. Most people at this point are tired of her inclusion in the story and just want her dead or to disappear.

9.4: defeat anduin at icecrown 2 and via a quest get the locket with his mum’s pic in it as a toy to make a portal to oribos.
