There’s an OG Jurrasic Park gif I feel is appropriate here. We know the one
wait i thought the anduin locket or whatever was dropped symbolically to show he’s leaving his humanity behind or w/e
oh no im being dumb again
Nah it’ll be the mcguffin that will lead us to Super Jailer’s new HQ where we get to beat him up
yeah i just thought it was what i thought when i saw the cinematic
you see we will rub insert magic on it to make the compass point towards anduin so we can use it to track him and jerry down to stop sauron from using his newfound ring of power to take over middle… wait, i think i got lost somewhere along the way
Yeah you got it wrong, we are headed to Exegol Prime, a world that’s beyond the Maw-induced crimson space cancer and where the Sepulcher is located, to destroy the Jailer’s death fleet before they vaporize all reality
Nah nah nah. That’s the next expansion that starts with “Somehow, the Jailer returned.”. In this expansion we gotta literally vaporize him first so him returning makes as little sense as possible.
He will return but he will trick us by disguising himself as zovaalia and warning us about -threat goes here-
let’s stop before patenting our bad ideas so blizzard can’t write them down without paying us royalties
Has Helya been involved properly yet?
Name dropped, implied to show up in one of the story chapters
She gets sent to the shadow realm during the campaign. I don’t know if that campaign part is live yet but the val’kyr and primus banish her to… somewhere.
She was sent to Scarytown, clearly.

It’s pretty astonishing that Blizzard’s writing reminds me of an ancient Penny Arcade joke more than anything else, these days.
patch 9.2 scenario boss-hood
Are people still hedging their life savings on Helya’s deal with Sylvanas being some sort of alpha and omega explanation for everything that has led us to Shadowlands from Legion onwards (despite the deal having already been explained and presented to us in-game)
it was explained? I thought it was an entirely pointless waste of time since it turns out they actually both just work for the same dude
Dude, hear me out.
Dreadlords.
Eh? Eh?
i have never seen how there was any more depth to it than ‘you get this cool lantern that will let you enslave a supervalkyr and make infinite forsaken and i get to mess with odyn some more lmao’
did i miss something somehow
You didn’t. There was however a distressingly large amount of players consistently saying “Can’t wait to see what the deal with Helya was about” when it was revealed she was showing up in Shadowlands.
