It’s originally started as a way of making fun of people who turned consuming “nerd” culture into their only personality trait, but quickly devolved into “a person who holds this position is pathetic and also ugly”, which is more or less every internet image trend since at least 2017

My thoughts and prayers go out to Zack.
Asmon’s been a spotlight how Blizzard’s misdeeds have finally caught up to them, and all they have shown him for genuinely wanting them to improve the game, is to call him a toxic male.
The guy took care of his sick mom for years and berated for it. That’s enough to tell me he’s a good person. Can’t imagine what the man is going through now, I’m just extremely saddened by these news.

My condolences to Zack. Losing a loved one, especially someone as close as a mother is a crushing experience. Although I’m not a viewer of his, I did come across a few videos of his where I’d agree with some of the things he says and outside of his twitch persona, he seems like a level-headed, down to earth guy. Hope he’ll be alright in due time.

Poor dude. I didn’t really watch many of his videos, but as someone who’s also lost a mom after helping to care for her, I think I have a good idea what the man must be feeling. And you don’t wish this on anyone, no matter what you may think of them. I hope that he will find the strength to process her passing.
Losing a mom is already bad enough on it’s own, but, as your life goes on you will always be reminded of the fact she’s not there anymore during the somtimes seemingly smallest moments in your life. If you have a happy moment in your life, you won’t be able to share it with your mom anymore, if you feel down or lost, your mom isn’t there to help you anymore or to lift your spirit. It is a loss that sticks with you for the rest of your life, even if you manage to learn to live with it.
So, to those of you that still have their moms and love them: Cherish them, don’t take them for granted. Make the most of the time that you still have with them, because you never know whether or not life may decide to kick you in the gut when you’re not looking and take her away from you.
