PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 1)

It’s a shame WoW takes itself so seriously.
It could benefit from being a little more…
…Goofy.

Every time there’s a new hearthstone expansion people start saying they want to see something like that in WoW.

I’m sorry, bud. Is this magical water not good enough for you? It’s water you can walk on, you ungrateful curs.

The monkeypaw curls and you get more of Uldum and Hillsbrad.

Shaman&DKs: are we a joke to you

Hearthstone songs are always fire.

the water walking mount equipment too!

or the OG, water strider mount :pensive: :fist:

Even if classes and mounts couldn’t already walk on water, it’s still a pretty meh feature.

No. Please no.

People should stop it. Ancient Kalimdor has always been described as the sole continent on Azeroth and that one was sundered into Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend, Pandaria and every island in between.

No sudden continents beyond ancient Kalimdor please.

The main two continents are on opposite sides of the world. Shame they share a time zone.

in 10.0 we will simply discover a separate dimension sort of like hyperspheres, but with azeroth

no they will not explain further, but they will overuse The Void as excuse for too many things

Geographically, the Uldum/Stranglethorn line seems vaugely equatorial or close enough to it and the world as seen from space in Legion has the other side of the planet, the canonical terra incognita from which no ships return, obscured by cloud cover.

Making water and having the surface “walkable” is a mesh issue in 3d world building since the mid 90’s. You messed up and made water behave like solid land.

Or you call it a patch feature.

Quote translated from a Korean interview discussed by Bellular:

“The fact that Shadowlands consisted of a total of three chapters had been decided before the pandemic. We decided that such a tight timeline made the story structure natural and powerful. No story or content has been artificially reduced or adjusted to match the next expansion title.”

So this was the story they originally planned to tell?

I think blaming it on the pandemic is the better timeline tbh.

So essentially I paid more for this expansion, compared to previous entries, to get less.

Oke, but does anyone really belief that? Really?

There is no war in Blizzard HQ.

Do more with less people, amounting to less overall but higher gains as you cut costs but retained the income. Big line go up this quarter. This is the business model in the year of our lord twentytwentyone.

This however is utter boule. Stories were obviously edited on the fly to make deadlines and branches cut to streamline the narrative.

I think it’s really wholesome how even now people are prepared to do Blizzard a favor by assuming they’re lying and not actually this incapable

We understand that the 9.2 announcement has been underwhelming. We are Blizzard hear you loud and clear and so we have decided to deliver what you want and need…

A genuine marketing mistake not to have the set wearer be a draenei herding their literal spacegoat.
