The more this goes on, the lines blur between feeling like it’s a complete lack of soul and passion for the writing, and instead that there actually is some, because they themselves clearly want this to be (and think it is) so cool.

Honestly there’s too many master manipulators to keep up. Sargeras, KJ, the Old Gods (particularly N’Zoth), Azshara, the Nathrezim, the likes of Onyxia earlier on. It seems like everything that ever happens anywhere is a move on the chessboard of some shadowy schemer.
I liked Handsome Squidward more as a sorta generic McVillain whose designs are mostly centred around his own plane, rather than Yagami Light wanting to steal all the lego that was used to create reality.
That was a good plotline. Defias did nothing wrong

Onyxia and previously Deathwing fooling around in the courts of the human kingdoms was cool, and at a scale where it wasn’t like “everything has occurred by my design ho ho ho”
just a shame that probably the jailer placed onyxia there for his own means
I mean, there was that kind of stuff all the way back in TBC and Wrath, if one paid a modicum of attention to the story.
I don’t think it’s a problem related to cosmology, it’s more related to the hacks that still work at Blizzard and come up with this drivel.
