Did they really just take one of the most iconic pieces of armour in the entire Warcraft setting and replace it with a Burger King crown that looks more like a piece of catch-up gear that you instantly transmog over than anything else?

9.2 just confirms that the writing team, hired authors included, draw inspiration from schlock they’ve seen in the cinemas and Netflix rather than written fiction.
At least the gropey predatory old guard, or whoever they hired at the time, drew inspiration from D&D and not Marvel Studios and anime.

My last hope is that it really is a work in progress and that’s just a placeholder. If that’s the final design for the ‘replacement’ for the Helm of Domination, then Blizzard has finally decided to stop hiding its contempt for the past.

The crown’s design reminds me of the knights action figure like line from lego. The king character there had a similar looking crown if I remember right.
