PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 2)

“No Anduin was actually a great king and he did all this cool stuff offscreen, we promise.”

That’s just Blizzard worldbuilding, until someone with enough clout forces through an actual World update.

i wont decry the goblin’s heritage quest if only because it let me suckerpunch gallywix one last time before he somehow went to the shadowlands to broker deals with the brokers.

tauren’s would have been nice if it was actually about tauren heritage, not just used as shadowlands promotional media

sadly the most unlikely of outcomes when it comes to wow.

its just the sad reality of the game (mmos in general tbf) that a lot of the meaningful change, especially the more minute parts involving politics happens off-screen rather than on-screen

Also I know that it isn’t super relevant but isn’t it a bit weird that Anduin was in power for like 2-3 years tops and Turalyon’s been Regent for basically twice that long already, but in the Stormwind heritage quest he doesn’t seem to show up at all or get mentioned?

Also also kinda weird to cap the Defias as “Anduin fixed it :)” when Turalyon’s apparently in-good with the Nobles who really dig him. What’s he done for Westfall recently? Apparently not much if Vanessa’s grand plan is to go back to slinging bowls in a soup kitchen.

this is clearly all setup for turyalyon as the antagonist of the void vs light plot thats coming where we’ll have to team up with the primalists against turalyon’s lightforged army in the siege of storgrimmar.

my source? it came to me in a dream

Dude is so filthy rich he could probably bend light around him (If you get the reference, I salute you) but he instead used it to pay the toll between the veil of reality and chill somewhere.

Night Elves after collectively witnessing the Tauren finally getting their iconic weapon ingame after 18-20 years or so : “Heh, five more years and maybe it’ll be our turn with a Glaive everyone can use.”

Ah yes, reminder of that travesty with glaives, I ambitingandbitingandbitingandbitingand-

To this day I believe the decision was made by some anti-fun police person working there. It’d either take a serious will behind that move to not make the skin available to other classes besides DH or such a sheer level of ignorance of the weapons status that it borders on malicious.

I’m glad she didn’t get off scot-free for all the murdering she did.

I believe Anduin let a farmer spit on him in one of the books, and as far as Westfall farmers go I guess that’s good enough for their loyalty.

If they want to just keep adding more Defias quests where they’re reborn again after Turalyon goes on a mass execution spree then sure, we can work with that.

Bonus points if he executes Genn so that my VanTessa ship happens.

let he who has not done a bunch of murdering cast the first stone

not so fast there, player character…

Why is the Human heritage questline significantly lower quality than the Orc one.

Yeah, but I’ll tolerate it as a bandaid on the gushing wound that is orc lore, making them remotely nuanced again after the disaster that was WoD.

Did the twelve remaining night elves get massacred as a dramatic story beat?

(doesn’t answer, lying motionless in a pool of blood)

all night elves were replaced in 9.2.5 by blight elves

Orc lore is the same as human lore (there’s no lore, it’s just a bunch of human characters center stage with an unrealistic representation of humanity)

Humans have yet to collectively jump on several consecutive bandwagons to conquer with fire and bl… uhm… honour, yes.
