PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 2)

Pretty hype for the Draenei, looks interesting as hell!

I hope it will be something akin to the Orc heritage, same for Trolls, since the Orc Heritage is peak heritage quests and something a the races deserved!

Y’know, playing the Gilneas reclamation scenario on my (Stormwind raised) human, I still dislike how Stromgarde troops still use the old model of the footman armour.

Could’ve atleast reskinned it with red tints instead of blue :frowning:

So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous reeeing…

Any clue how undead works? During the Amirdrassil feast you can talk to Delaryn and she starts crying. I thought Undead couldn’t cry much like they can’t eat or drink?

Tell Blizzard when you find out lmao

At this point, I go with a policy of “every undead character has its own unique set of rules that it abides by that might not be true for other undead.”

Blizzard doesn’t adhere to consistent rules for them (except in the case of death knights but even then there are exceptions) so it’s easier to just pretend that undead are inconsistent as a rule.

Well we’ve seen them eating (don’t the Forsaken have a cannibalise racial still?) and drinking before and some are in better states of decay than others.
So I think dear Shoggs is right, they may just be inconsistent as a people. If a skeleton cries though, I’ll be concerned.

Bony tears, high in calcium, good for preventing rickets.

Sort of reminded me of this.

They can eat and drink. They literally have a racial ability dedicated to eating. They don’t need to eat and drink, and regular food either has a duller taste, or straight up tastes like ashes.

Undead can also cry, it’s just extremely rare because you are either a part of the Scourge as a voluntary participant or a thrall with no volition, or a part of the Forsaken, and have gone through what they’ve gone. Furthermore, even in these cases, you can see some of them crying, and this isn’t new lore, like in the pre-original Naxxramas launch short story where a mind-controlled undead woman wept as she ate her still-living husband.

It’s just yet another case of headcanon or RPG lore that was invalidated before, during, and after the retconning of its content and people holding onto it for dear life, like the fan theory that ‘all undead go to the Maw’ which was disproved the moment Shadowlands released.

You might as well ask how Ghouls work in Fallout and you’ll get the same answer depending on the game/expansion.

I always just saw their racial as a sort of second wind thing. The act of savagely indulging on flesh to push on a little longer. Almost ritualistic and not as a literal act of eating. Just a little remnant left from being a mindless scourge.

You are not though.
you all moved to Mechagon
its a poor excuse for a reclaimed city, but far as blizzard cares (at the moment) you already had your big reclamation quest, never you mind it was entirely focused on the mechagnomes the entire time.

Do you have a source for that? Cuz I can not remember the quest or book that says so :frowning:

Thats the :poop:ty part
I didn’t know until I went to the instanced mechagon area that unlocks after you get mechagnomes

The place is now home to both normal and mechagnomes plus both race leaders are present in the throne room.
With how mekkatorque was crowned king of the mechagnomes, and with the entire island being the ancestral home of gnomes or something, it was implied more than told.

I should check it out ingame one day :weary:

And goblins, too.

Are Mechagnomes affected by the toxics in Gnomeregan? Seems like an easy liberation if they just send a few diapergnomes down there to clean house.

Don’t forget to get your free Grim Campfire!

Also I had no idea we were getting a patch 10.2.6, but here you guys go

Only the full-mechanized ones would be safe I think. Most of the mechagnomes that still have organic parts would run the risk of being contaminated aswell.
