I went back to do that Ardenweald questing and nope, no matter what this quest chain makes several weird leaps of logic and makes no sense.
Two and a half body types and some colour swaps
I don’t wanna pull out the dark troll family tree, its a bit long.
Night elves are just going to become an educational lesson on climatic injuries at this rate.
Most people also don’t form parasocial relationships and self-identify as a video game race, nor do they make up highly idealised versions of things that only exist in their own heads and get upset when the reality doesn’t match up with their made up version of events.
Night elf fan don’t look 5000 gift horses in the mouth challenge (impossible)
It’d be so epic if 20% of every expansion wasn’t wasted on nelves.
I’m doing my best, okay!? Don’t have to call me out like that
yeah, and it’d be so epic if 100% of an expansion wouldn’t be wasted on an expansion either, but sadly warlords of draenor exist and here were are.
Warlords was badass the only mistake was not adding the train to the open world as originally intended.
Where? How?
It did start great even though it was more Orcish themes. No other expansion comes this close when it comes to the leveling and quick investment you’re gaining towards the main cast. Its failure was dropping the ball that hard regarding content and following up on that big start.
There’s orcs in it
I loved the Orclords of Orcnor bit, as well as the PvP and PvE balance and designs. The soundtrack was pretty good too.
But hot damn everything else with the wasted potential of keeping the Iron Horde as the main antagonists, adding the Legion, redeeming Grom, making Hellfire Citadel a mostly Burning Legion raid, the entire Garrison system, turning Highmaul into some weird port city yet the seat of power of the Gorian Empire (and a raid at that instead of being a zone on itself), Karabor and Bladespire Citadel being snubbed as capitals, Ashran and the ridiculous lore to justify Archimonde returning just add up to such an abhorrently bad expansion in the end.
Admiral Taylor died for a plot that was never even elaborated upon other than the fact that the Jailer has the same name as the “Dark One” referenced by the Necromancer who kills Taylor. Which means the Jailer considered Admiral Taylor such an immense threat to his plans that he had him killed personally.
I member them saying we could customise everything in the Garrison, down to the buildings being racial… And then we got… What we got.
I wanted my own little Night Elven town, darn it!
The draenei and ogre stuff was cool.
Orcs are deeply played out.
It took until the HA quest for Orcs to finally have another kind of spotlight outside “Muh honor!” or “Genocidal Waaaaaaaaagh!” and look how well received it got.
Stupid we never got to see the Ogre home-continent! D:<
The what quest? Whats HA? D:
Heritage Armour.
I forget sometimes that not everyone is able to appreciate art as I do.
It needed more patch love.
Had a decent start, but turned into a bit of a wet fart.
