Well I hinge on that being the case since Monks do exist outside of the east.
they are dressed in robes and the scarlet crusade happens to be a fanatic holy order, with a lot of former members from the church.
While they aren’t exactly a standing army in terms of numbers, there are enough to be a noticeable force.
With the argent and the ghost monks (who doesn’t seem to have ties to either of the former two) I think there is proof that monks were not some unheard of concept to old Lordaeron.
that is unless the timeline is Korloff learning from a pandaren, then teaching it to other humans, later he and some of his disciples join the crusade and display their value, (which seems odd to me, he would need to if this was before their major racist arc).

reading about the condemned monks they where part of a group of renegade silver hand paladins, priests of the light and mages.
So they do have a connection to the church as well.

- Abs
- Can glide (still too weak to fly)
- Better eyesight
- Everyone dislikes you but you listen to linkin park anyway so it shouldn’t matter
- Get to skip all the hard training all the other classes need to do (save for evokers).

That is a pretty big con to be honest.
Scarlets were also mega xenophobic as shown by the Warcraft: Legends comic re: The Headless Horseman, so there’s no way they would have ever let a pandaren teach them to be a monk.
…If you follow a suspension on belief and good lore, that is. If you are a modern game dev, who cares lol.

oh i see how it its, i have to play an abandoned lizard fetus to play an evoker or an elf to play a dh because “lore reasons”, but everyone suddenly picking up being a monk is no problemo.

Who were removed from the game years ago.
Who very well could have learnt these from Korloff or a disciple of his, in either case, they show up exactly once in one dungeon and are never referenced again.

They are adding lore on the PTR justifying the new warlocks.
Lightforged Warlocks in particular appear to be made out to be driven by a motivation to enslave demons to use as cannon fodder to fight and die in the name of the Light, which I think is exceptionally based of them.
