They can’t put it on body textures because body textures in WoW are mirrored. A lot of textures in WoW are mirrored.

This is what a raw WoW texture file looks like. As I said in an earlier post this is why Lordaeron’s tabard is a twin-headed eagle, why Stromgarde got another bird of prey for their tabard, and why Gilneas’ heraldry had to be changed.
I have no idea what this all means. You might aswell start speaking chinese to me😩
But I doubt Blizzard, as the proffesional (and respectable) game studio that it is, can’t find a way to make usefull tabards(like Lordaeron’s L) with mirrored models
Same, mad respect to him.
(Also, we could use a tauren form amongst the elves and half elf)
If it ain’t gonna be Sabs… I to, will bend the knee to Ebyssian!
(Model usesge in cinematics are literally top notch, tho… Getting unreal with how much they can do with it now a days)
Still feel, like with how much the focus on Neltharion/Deathwing’s (evil) heritage they just… bluntly ignore the evil “sane” Malygos did and how little his dead means to the Blue Flight, while he had been their leader for countless ages(more then Deathwing was actually leader of the Blacks?) and thats aside how they gloss over the the evil the Blue Dragonflight did in his name.
Like sure he did no funky experiments to make dragonmen, but he did rune (a) red dragon to forcefully make her loyal to the Blue’s and he did rune Blue Dragons to empower them, start a war to genocide every magic users and almost blow up the world whole doing so, but thats just… Forgotten(or mentioned in passing?)
Ebyssian is such a disappointment to me.
Every time he shows up he’s just nice, and a little sad. Talks about family. Black dragon Kalecgos. As if we don’t have enough generically ‘nice’ Aspects (or indeed faction leaders) already.
Thats why I’d still vote Sabellian.
Arrogant. Demands respect. Makes you work for his. He just knows he’s Neltharion’s true heir due to him saving their flight and Deathwings command to save their flight.
But if it is not Sabellian, then I rather have Ebyssian then Wrathion.
Hey, my bro Malygos did all of that stuff AFTER his family got genocided. Sane Malygos era doesn’t seem to have so much skeletons.
While it’s not particularly awful, yeah the homogenization of the “niceties” does start grating. Also Kalecgos is a joke so yeah.
I likely see the Black Dragons ending in a Three Hammer situation more or less.
Sorry, Malygos declaring the Nexus War, was, actually, sane Malygos.
He became sane due to the Netherdragons, right before obliterating them out of existence.(iirc that is)
Ebyssian > Wrathion > Power gap > Sabellian
He really wasn’t, Day of the Dragon does state that his sanity returned but not all at once. Now idk which one of those books came first or if we should even consider them relevant, so ask Telaryn if their respective lore contradict each other at this point.
Strumming on worn strings by now, but I really like how Ebyssian speaks of the dracthyr as family, rather than the unnatural freaks of nature they probably turn out to be.
Just some of them, no? Otherwise I really glossed over that snippet.
Wrathion > Sabellian >>> Ebyssian
At least W+S have unique characters to them. They’re interesting. At a meeting of the Aspects you’d know that their dialogue couldn’t be copy-pasted between characters without noticing a difference.
To me, Ebyssian is Baine saying “For the Shadowlands.” Written so inoffensive and milquetoast he circles around to becoming offensive.
Maybe they’ll add more to prove me wrong (the orc and human heritage quests have displayed a surprisingly good amount of nuanced writing and character interactions), but from what I’ve seen Ebyssian definitely ain’t there yet.
I wouldn’t be surprised if ultimately there is no Aspect of the black dragonflight, but a triumvirate between the contenders. Sabellian is the tactician and commander, Wrathion is the cunning schemer, and Ebyssian is the moral compass keeping the other two on the right side of history.
And it’s a theory I have absolutely stolen from somewhere else, but I can’t for the life of me remember where.
Ngl this is more of a personal taste . I never liked Wrathion as a character. I have loved Sabellian since the Burning Crusade, when I was a little kid.
So for me, Sabellian is who I see when I think of a new Earth-Warder/Aspect.
Ohyea, it was just a small group of Netherdragons feeding on the Arcane magics of the Nexus that roused him from his sleep!
I have no idea how your sanity only partly returns, but eh… Perhaps Telaryn can explain more clearly
It seems the Forsaken have had a good influence on the Orcs, with them “accepting” Nazgrim, Horsemen of the Ebon Blade, as an honorable and skillfull Orc, who could not do help what he became or that his (blind) loyalty to the Warchief got him killed!
Me, but also a bunch of others having the same brilliant insight.
I’m starting to think this may happen. And I’d welcome it.
Bald blood elf is so cursed. You don’t rob them of their fancy hairstyles like that. I can totally picture an orc sporting a grinning Garrosh print sleeveless t-shirt, though.
Here’s the rundown of the orc heritage questline, but it’s actually really good.
Important highlights:
- The clans (or what’s left of them) gather, giving clanless orcs a chance to join the one that most closely reflects their views. The orcs undergo something of a cultural renaissance as the clans re-establish themselves in the Horde.
- Gorfax Angerfang is the chieftain of the Dragonmaw. Most Dragonmaw are still isolationist and don’t see themselves as true members of the Horde. They’re paranoid and think the invitation to the Kosh’harg is a trick.
- The Dragonmaw are considered the most disgraceful clan of all and Gorfax vows to redeem the clan. He thinks they need to find a new identity beyond enslaving dragons, since they currently have none due to the lack of demon soul/chain, and what are they without their dragons? Gorfax thinks the Dragonmaw needs to find their own strength.
- Gorgonna is the chieftain of the Warsong. She issued a mak’gora and defeated anyone who stood against her claim.
- Nazgrim is accepted back among the Warsong again. Orcs don’t care if you’re undead, they care about your deeds.
- Thega Graveblade is the new leader of the Shattered Hand after usurping the old leader. They still believe that the strongest must rule, though in their case “strongest” means “the most cunning”. She confirms that Alliance and Horde are still engaged in cold war espionage despite the peace.
- Blackrock Clan is lead by Eitrigg, the last survivor of the original leading trio of Doomhammer, Saurfang and Eitrigg who usurped the clan (and subsequently the Old Horde) from Blackhand.
- Bleeding Hollow of Azeroth and Outland reunite under Jorin Deadeye.
- MU Shadowmoon is all but exinct. The last surviving Shadowmoon is found among the Mag’har and she offers to share the wisdom and knowledge of the old Shadowmoon with the new orcish priests. Ner’zhul’s dark legacy paves way for a brighter future with the Lok’osh being the spiritual successors of the Shadowmoon.
- Like the Shadowmoon, the Burning Blade is non-functional as a clan, but unlike the Shadowmoon, the Burning Blade remnants are hopeful about rebuilding it, starting with new recruits. They invite Lantresor to lead them who declines. They want to redeem their demon worshiping ways and return to the old ways of the blade.
- Aggra is Drek’Thar’s successor as the Farseer of the Frostwolf clan while Thrall claims his title as Chieftain. Aggra replaces the Player Character as leader of the Earthen Ring.
- Mok’Nathal come out of their isolation and consider joining the Horde properly. Leoroxx and Rexxar are set up to reconcile.
- Thega tries to recruit Garona into the Shattered Hand. Garona heavily considers it.
- Om’riggor goes away. Kind of. The new rite - Om’gora, the Rite of Honour - has three trials. Trial of the Land, Trial of the Clan, and Trial of the Ancestors.
- Trial of the Land has you perform a service to the spirits. We deal with the elemental imbalance that plagues Durotar, which sets up Durotar to once again become a forest in time and end the draughts and resource problems orcs are dealing with. As their spirits heal, so too does the land.
- Trial of the Clan = the old Om’riggor. It doesn’t go away, just incorporated as part of the new tradition. The clanless orcs are given the opportunity here to pick a clan that resonates with them the most as mentioned above.
- Trial of the Ancestors has you create a traditional clan recipe from Draenor, but substituted with Azerothian ingredients where needed. We receive a whole cook book with actual recipes for every clan’s traditional dishes giving insight into their food culture. The dish is offered to the ancestors to gain their favour.
- A lot of familiar orc NPCs from the past show up in this moment of unity to mark the first Kosh’harg of Azeroth. Everyone is here, and it does a good job setting up a new chapter in the orcs’ story.
- We see Thrall’s children Rheze and Durak, with Durak being a young adult by now with a scaled down adult orc model to reflect it.
- Thura finally makes her in game appearance and reunites with Eitrigg and Ariok, her last remaining family. She still has the Axe of Cenarius. Note: They’re not her biological family, but Eitrigg and Saurfang were as close as brothers.
- Ariok doesn’t feel he belongs in orc society anymore after he became a Dire Orc and has spent these years in isolation, but the Kosh’harg offers a new opportunity to reintegrate.
- The Player Character is the first to complete the new Om’gora, followed by Thrall. Orcs eagerly line up for the chance to complete theirs.
The rewards are three recolours of the orc heritage set called The Heritage of Draenor, as well as a Clan Banner toy. The clan displayed depends on the clan you pick to join during the questline.
“The Warsong is supreme!”
