Man, Jaina has fallen so badly imo. Her arc which I was heavily invested up until Legion where she turned into “angry woman” for so long conflicting as well with her change of heart in the books. She became even more -salty- all the way until I got tired of watching this drama of hers as everything is fastracked.
His army is inside said basement and right outside… If making a threat when you have the necessary forces to take down a wounded animal is stupid then idk what is.

Jaina is a nepo baby and half of kul tiras should’ve seceded immediately, undoing our efforts to unite the land. Failing that because, you know, the witches and stormsong situation, Boralus ought to have been paralyzed by strikes and desertions as the nation is handed over to the monster they sang about for years.

There’s also zero reason as to why the pendant shouldn’t answer to her… She’s a Proudmore, the pendant should legitimately go to her and answer her who stayed true to her nation in KT’s PoV and her own… Jaina, the father killing daughter plagued by negative emotions hardly seemed fitting.

Blizzard has struggled to write women for some time, but Jaina is a peak example of weird writing in general.
This. They lost two out of three of their leaders. They got attacked by the Horde, half the country is under eldritch horror invasion, the other by basically druidic necromancy.
And the most infamous character in their history has returned and is immediately crowned their new ruler. The one who betrayed her family, her nation, for the Horde.
(The only ones who except Jaina knew what happened being Rexxar, Thrall and Vol’jin. Katherine only sees small glimpses of it in a dream realm).

Imagine going from living traitor hated on a national level to hero and leader in a matter of weeks.

Meanwhile, the reviled horde has made landfall on kul tiran soil and ally with despicable pirates. All their troubles can be traced to the traitor proudmoore returning and bringing her horde friends with her.

She had a similiar arc already as well. After Theramore got nuked, she went to Dalaran, defied the council’s wishes, stole magical items, went to destroy all of Orgrimmar and stopped and the last moment.
Returned back to Kirin Tor and instead of being expelled, she got promoted to the leader over the entire city/organization.

Well, we know dalaran had a lead in the drinking water problem so the council’s questionable decisions are to be expected for a whole generation to come.

Man… I like Knaak for the good world building but his Rhonin worshipping has caused so much stinks down the line… Or was it Krasus to blame for that a’*pull of a Jaina prophecy?

Either it’s because she isn’t a Proudmoore by blood or Daelin was in some way a magic wielder.

Humans intuitively seek a monarchy, this is unironically American-brain at its finest, so it’s no surprise that the proles of Kul Tiras went ohhh yes my queen, whatever you say my queen!

Well he did make goshdarn tooting tornados somehow
Listen, strange women on flying galleons are no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic spellcasting.
You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power, just cause some watery tart threw an anchor pendant at you. If I went round saying I was a Highlord just because some moistened bint had lobbed some jewelry at me, they’d put me away.

The unenlightened masses…
One very odd detail I questioned throughout BfA was in stormsong when you help that village of greedy gold diggers look for the legnedary pirate treasure.
One of those very kul’tiran people have a strange line that goes something like.
“Once I find the gold I am certain jaina will fall madly in love with me”
it struck me as something odd since at this point in the story she was still very much the boogyman of the sea to all of them.
I will simply buy her insanity away.
