PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 2)

PVP continues to cause Ls.
Delete PVP at this point. That, or give the Devs heads a shake until all the cobwebs and Stupid falls out  One step forward, two steps back, every darn time…

They are doing exactly asI feared they would when I made the post about warlock pet customisations a few weeks ago… :weary:

Hunters: many pet silhouettes, various abilities
Warlocks: must be the same across the board! Despite 7 years of observer being a thing people may get confuzzed!

Seven? Make that a decade. We’ve had Observers since MoP, just as a talent to replace felhunters instead of the glyph.

Just reinforces the point.
The whole “we want silhouettes to be the same” is absolutely ridiculous. Are shivarra going to go too? Wrathguards?

Its just because Blizzard does not want to put more effort into creating different appearances for the extra pets, available through Glyphs, so they new make some :poop: excuse to remove them…

But I will fight them every step of the way and then if it hits live, I will make a new ticket everytime saying there is a bug because I cannot summon my Observer anymore!

Perhaps kicking up enough of a stink will make them reconsider. Seems to occasionally work lately.

US forums are on it, it isn’t a blaze just yet… But I hope it will pick up!

edit:

I heard they’re also removing Water Elementals? Or folding it into another spell?

wth?

It’s turning into a proc-based summon when you activate Icy Veins, rather than a perma-pet.

Ambivalent on the change personally, but it does feel very silly that mage can summon a permanent elemental pet but Shamans, the elemental class cannot.

I am sure they could make Fire or Earth Elemental a permanete Pet aswell…

And while I do not play Frost Mage myself. the Water Elemental has been a thing since War1 for Mages! Vanilla for WoW, and I always fought for more customisations for it aswell; esp with how many different appearances the Unholy DK and the Warlock pets had!

Instead, they just “remove” it. I can understand people, who have had it by their side for decades now can be slightly upset by it!

For me, personally, I don’t care that much; atleast I have my floating ball familiar left

I’ve used my mage as a water calling shaman and losing my ele would be pure butt.

Hold on!
Why has the phone forum started cutting off names?
Who is this Distant, and Elentha…?

Well yeah, Shamans work with the Elementals who agree to serve, the mages enslave the elementals forcing them to work 24/7.

On my phone you’re just Dis.
Dis nut.

Their reasoning is exactly the same as why they waited so long for playable, straight-backed orcs…

“Muh silhoutte”, freck off, Blizzard, you lazy twits.

Weirdly enough, you’re Distant for me, and Elentha, but Moridunum shows the full name

Meh, I don’t really want every class to turn into “we have a pet too!” as a mechanic.

As a temporary summon, yeah.

Maybe the shaman are finally cracking down on the slavery and that’s the lore reason for the change

I wish to see the inevitable “but i paid real money for this” posts.

It will nourish me.

how about “I don’t have enough tendies”? :frowning:

Between the two mounts I’m all tapped out this month, and I can only freeze one thing - choosing to freeze the scarfcloak to continue my collection, so no firehorns for ol’ elly…
