PTR Spoiler/Discussion Thread (Part 4)

I mean the aqir were the hideous offal byproduct and servants of the Old Gods that warred with the titans because they wanted to dominate the planet and claim Azeroth’s world soul for their masters, but yeah other than I guess the two were dealt the exact same hand.

The opposite to heavywood

Presumably wood that has been enhanced by the Light as a product of the Lightbloom, which is why the Amani sent some of their own into Quel’thalas to harvest the stuff, so that they could wield it against the Twilight’s Blade cult.

We don’t really have any knowledge about how the trolls were treated by the Titans at all.

War of the Scaleborn does tell us they were aware of them and had a non-interventionist policy allowing them to just live and evolve. The Dragons also had this policy.

Interestingly, War of the Scaleborn doesn’t specify when the trolls came to be—the dragons don’t know. A tribe settled close to the Dragonwilds at one point, and by observing them in visage, the Aspects came to realise that a great troll civilisation had already been established elsewhere and these were settlers seeking a new life on new frontiers away from the empire.

Sorry for shifting the goal posts but time frame matters, I think, as we know that the haranir go from being purged by Freya’s lot, to being approached with the prospect of being uplifted by a “stone person” during the age of dragons.

If the trolls meaningfully existed back during the initial Scouring of Azeroth, it’s possible that they could have had a similar approach to them at the time.

Housing is up for testing on PTR atm: Join the Housing Early Access Test on the PTR!

We get all of 1 day to test it after their delay

If they wanted to stress test it, it is successful, I keep getting disconnected, lol. I hope they will find a way to improve it.

They were not being purged, though? I might have misunderstood, but they went into the earth because Azeroth called them down and not because Freya was firing her lasers to purge them all?

And we also know that uplifting is a choice, and if you decline you’ll be left alone(why else would there be Proto-Dragons?), even if members of your uplifted race might make questionable choices :weary:

To be fair, that’s not a new theme. Stratholme burned well past the point of reasonable expectations.

New loyalist dialogue with Sylvanas. Loyalist chuds … we’re back.

You can even make them look like sonic

Housing PTR is still up, if someone would like to take a look.

My head canon is that the city is cursed due to what happened there, and that’s why it still burns.

My favourite part of the chronicles was when Freya went to hyjal and said “it’s lifing time” and then she freyad all over everyone.

Bravo, Blizzard. Absolute cinema.

Not really enjoying the increasing slant of allied races just taking themes of the others “but more so”.

Not liking that at all.
