I had to face Synod as a solo warrior, and it’s completely undefeatable if you don’t get the absolute best anima powers. The guy hit for 3-5k and stack a def resist every 10s. Even if I kick/stun/fear the 4 first stacks, you need 5k dps to down him.
And, surprise, you can have that if you don’t have the best covenant AND the best anima, and a superior gear as well.

People did layer 4 on the beta in ilvl 150 on the premade chars, with forced venthyr covenant.
