in the lore: it’d still be horde the same way bel’ameth is alliance
in most peoples perception: guards aren’t attacking me, nor the other guy, so its neutral.
personally I would rather see the city destroyed then it turn neutral or accessible for the alliance after midnight, during when its current content sure fine I guess they can have a base in the scar way between the ruins and the city proper
And like I said allowing the other elves in there would make sense if all elve tribes get all buddy buddy together.
But that would not be a reason to allow all alliance folks to go where they want.
I think they should use the opportunity and rebuild the part that is on the scar.
If silbermoon is important enough that the player hub is there then this rebuild part can be the neutral hub while the original city stays horde.
With maybe the exception of alliance elves
(Joke aside, I don’t know french so I don’t know what they are saying. And there is no google translator option).
I think it would be best ro reinvent the entire city. If you go through the scar is basicly just a bridge between city halves. Fixing just the scar will just leave alot empty spaces. They need to tear down the walls of scar. However doing that will also make it look weird as the other districts of Silvermoon won’t match up so that’s what I mean they have to reinvent the entire city then just a small piece of it. Make a castle inside the city, a real castle as the one being used now for Lor’themar Theron is just a Noble mage building basicly and being used as their “Castle” but its not a castle. More like a temporary location as the rest of the city is destroyed. So it would be completely new Silvermoon.
Well that kind of is the problem which Blizzard screwed up back in BC. High elves always been in the Allliance and worked with humans and dwarves for 5000 years or more. Yes they were isolationist but they always broke that idea as they always came back to work with humans and dwarves, Had meetings with Human faction leaders for 5000 years and later on with Dwarves faction leaders. More and more High elves moved to Dalaran to interact with humans as they were fascinated by Humans (although they would never admit that but then why? did they always come back to work with humans even when their King forbade it even after Warcraft 2 they kept coming back) and Dalaran was a symbol of that union between Humans and Elves. And Quel’thalas is the Ancestral/Ancient home to both Alliance High elves and Blood elves and also Void elves (yes, yes I know you hate that Kaiine but it is the “truth”). So making Silvermoon neutral makes sense. Even if High elves could have made their own home in Crystalsong forest and restarted there. But with this Elven unification is happing in Midnight but it also makes sense as they are all “High elves” (All children of the Highborne). Blood elves started as High elves. Blood elves, Void elves, Alliance High elves have the same culture, traditions, same language and came from the same place which is Quel’thalas.
While the Alliance high elves are using mounts that their ancestors did which is unicorns (hence their symbol back in Warcraft 2 and their boats and Hippogryphon that also their ancestors used which is the Night elves/Highborne elves. It was later before Warcraft 3 the High elf king changed their symbol to the hawk and used Hawkstrider as mount instead of the Unicorn and Dragon hawk instead of the Hippogryphon. The Blood elves and Void elves are using Hawkstriders, even if the Void elves are using a void version but I bet if the Void elves had a flying mount it would be void version of a Dragonhawk.
And we know Alliance High elves have already moved back home to Silvermoon and is helping the Blood elves to rebuild Silvermoon and we also know at some point in Midnight, Ulfric and his followers will be allowed to go home as well. Most likely make Telogrus rift as a training ground for Void elves and not as “home”. As we have seen not much has happend in 10 years there exept they covered more grounds but nothing has been build there. The tents are still there. And the Void elves aka Blood elves as most of them are, wants to go home to Silvermoon yet still practice Void magic. In the Past High elves practice all kinds of magic as it was part of their heritage from the Highborne and after Silvermoon fell after the Scourge attack the Blood elves countinue pratice of magic even dangerous ones until Legion expansion came for some reason. Kicked out Ulfric and his followers yet in the past they would never done that despite they had the Sunwell back then before the fall in WC3. Any magic was allowed as it was kind of their religion.
Not making Silvermoon neutral would make the entire expanion pointless and dumb. Same thing with revmaping Silvermoon/Quel’thalas even the elven unification would just be pointless and dumb if they just going to dissolve back into being a split race…again. unless it been “only” for the Horde getting a revmap area but Alliance could have gotten revmap area of Exodar the Myst isle and Blood isle. However that’s not what the expanion is about and takes place in Quel’thalas for both factions. I mean what are they going to do after Midnight, make the area fully Horde after Midnight, phase sifting the entire Quel’thalas. Last I heard people hated phase shifting. Also it would stuck intime “Again” by doing so. So what will there be like 3 phase shifting in Quel’thalas or something. 1 for BC, 1 for Midnight and 1 for Horde. That would just be stupid. I thought blizzard wanted to get rid of the Old code so they can update wow to Wow 2.0. Doing so the Midnight expansion means nothing and the expansion should never been made in the first place. Don’t open up a Horde area, just for an expanion and then cut it off, then it should not been opened in the first place.
Already happened, well not the High elves but we the player. In Dragonflight we get to a quest from Kalecgos. He wants us to find the remaining Blue dragons to rebuild his Flight in Azure Span. One of the Blue dragons are in Crystalsong forest and she wants to help the Angry Highborne spirits to pass on to the afterlife. Letting Crystalsong forest to be settled again by the living. And I bet is for the Last titan as Crystalsong forest will be one of the places that will be updated in Northrend for the Last titan.
Yeah well since High elves already moved “home” to their ancestral home, Silvermoon I doubt this idea is going to happen.
I agree that Crystalsong forest would be perfect and I said that for “years” but as I said I don’t this will happen or making Hinterlands or Allerian Stronghold High elves their own home but as they are “all” moving back home. There as several places in Azeorth that “could” have been home for Alliance High elves as there are several “Highborne” ruins that have a strong touch/connection to magic.
Well would it be any different as both Alliance and Horde have the “Same story” and have been for years. Back in Vanilla,BC, WOTLK the Horde and Alliance had diffrent stories but as the years gone by the story been the same for both factions. In vanilla if you played Horde the Alliance was the “Bad guys” in the Horde point of view/perspective and playing Alliance the Horde was the “Bad guys”.
But also by Elven Unification they longer have to write diffrent story between High elves and Blood elves and just have the same story and live in the same story which would save them time and resources. Like Pandaren have the story and come from the same place, So does the Dracthyr or Earthen. Saves them time as each expansion they have to “pick and choose” who they write about. Even if the Blood elves, High elves, Void elves live in the same place. The blood elves will not change their name or who they fight for. They still fight for the Horde, the High elves would still fight for Alliance. The Void elves however are some are from Alliance High elves but mostly made of Blood elves. And after Dark heart quest some may have their loyalty sway as they were angry at Alleria for not helping/teaching them. However all 3 loves Silvermoon/Qule’thalas as it is the Ancestral home for all 3 elf races. As both races are in both faction Blizzard would save time and resources giving them the same story, only difference would be who they believe in/fight for. And as Blood elves since Sunwell reignited, they become more and more as they once were which is High elves. Well Blizzard have/is making it more complicated for themshelves to the point they can’t write different story for each elf race. Except for Night elves and Nightborne.
This is the mistake Blizzard made in BC, giving the Blood elves to the Horde when they have more connection with the Alliance than they ever had with the Horde. 1000s of years in fact. But Blizzard was lazy knowing full well the Alliance players wanted High elves playable and the Horde wanted pretty race to Balance the player population so Blizzard had an idea. Lets put two and two together. Kill two birds with one stone and make Blood elves for the Horde. Did the Blood elves save the Horde…Sure…but in the process complicated the Lore as they now had to write “2” stories for both faction as High elves already were in the Alliance. Everywhere in Alliance areas in Vanilla wow you could see High elves. Like shooting yourself in the foot and not realize it until years later. When Blizzard could have just made a brand new race for the Horde back in BC that had strong connection to magic, that was beautiful and a race that would have made more sense for the Horde would still have saved the Horde as that was what Horde players back then was asking for. A pretty race to balance the player population.
But as said with the Elf unification (“Uniting the scattered Elven tribes”) it would save Blizzard time and resources. Like now the Silver covenant High elves or the Alliance High elves in general for that matter, Blizzard have simply forgotten they even exist. As not all Alliance High or Silver covenant High elves joined the Void elves. It was only the Stragglers of Alliance High elves that joined the Void elves. As we seen in War within that Sunreavers Blood elves and Silver covenant High elves are now friends and will be working together from now on. Even in Legion Blood elves and Silver covenant High elves was working together. Thas’dorah marksman quest you see a blood elf taking order from Vereesa Windrunner but also wanted to prove to Vereesa as the Blood elf saw Vereesa as a hero.
Don’t think It has a name but looking at the full map you can see there is an area there but North east of Tirifal glades and north of both Western and eastern plaugelands and player had gone there to look behind the “Wall” of inaccessible. But its the same at the south east of Zul’amon there is a pice of lands there as well but was never used. However Blizzard said they were going to make Quel’thalas bigger than it was before for Skyflying would work there so we might see area we havent before and perhaps more Troll lands that never interacted with Horde and Alliance. Or Humans and Orcs for that matter. But we will see in August.
Well someone made this for Amani trolls. Mix between Zandalari trolls and Regular trolls to make Amani trolls.
Beefier then regular trolls yet with a straight back. Then they just need to make them a bit/slightly shorter than Zandalari trolls.
Edit: Had some words missing and spelling error, happens when its a long text.
This is a conversation between a high elf and an Amani, discussing their old conflicts in Quel’Thalas.
It’s probably role-playing because the high elf is a void elf and the Amani troll is a darkspear troll.
Would love trolls to look muscular like that. I would main one myself, if that was the model. The lore of the Trolls is kinda cool and unique, especially for the amani
**Lastly We could make Xal’atath the void elf take over as the leader for void elfs.
While Alleria (after we cleanse her from her void curse) Picks up and becomes the leaders of Silvermoon were theres hordes and alliance people split one side pro Blood elfs one side pro high elfs and the void elfs ruled by Xal’atath
I for one want more faction pride back in the game again.
theres less WAR in warcraft and more Craft in wow as is.
a chance to rework Draeneis and blood elfs zones.
And epic tale will problem never see the day and light but i rather have that over this stale stories.**
A French WoW ad is making the rounds online, showing a High Elf and Amani discussing the wars of the past (using Void Elf and Darkspear models) and settling their grievances. It’s happening.
It can also be found on the German warcraft YouTube channel in the shorts section for any Germans that would like to understand what is said there.
It’s less them discussing thing since they obviously are in different places and more them first telling there respective story of the downfall of there empires.
That being the elves for the Amani and the scourge for the elves.
But it does sound like they are talking to each other at the end.
What I find interesting is that they seem to speak to each other while at different places.
A bit like this discussion could be happening either in stormwind or ogrimmar.
A possible hint for neutral cities?
Or a hint that both races are gonna be for both factions? I honestly don’t think they would go back to faction locking races in the middle of a trilozwhere unity and working together is very present.
Edit: after thinking about it for a while I’m sure if both races become playable they will be for both factions.
Just think about it Amani would need a completely new model while high elves would just be blood elve model.
That would be pretty unfair
The fact that it is an Amani is also very interesting since I honestly thought those guys would rather join the void then joining the people who stopped there empire from regaining strength twice.
And I’d like to voice some critic point.
If I remember correctly Amani are jungle trolls and those are all green and there are no blue jungle trolls.
Thats ofcourse a very minor thing and I also could remember wrong.
What I find incredibly interesting is that you can find this short on both the German and the french YouTube channel but not the main English channel
Well it looks like it if this YouTube short has any deeper meaning.
But then Im quite sad to see trolls for the third time as a race and elves for the fifth time especially since they would use the same model they already have used twice since there can be no visual differences between blood and high elves
