They have it in their heads that RDF is solely responsible for ruining all of WoW forever.
Well, claiming it was an important part of Wrath kind of suggest this.
Go to the old forum, or just do a search on this one and you get plenty of answers.
Yes. Because we experienced it, we lived through it. The only ones screaming for RDF now are the anti-social people that never had any friends or social skills in the game.
A feature that was well received, saw an increase in subs during it’s lifetime until major changes (Cataclysm) and was in the expansion for nearly half of it yes, that is an important part of wrath.
So are dual specs.
Heck, so are the mount changes.
Absolute nonsense.
As usual.
The initial dungeons and raids were great, actually. They were just a little too difficult for the average wrathbaby and had to be nerfed to the ground.
Wonder how they’ll play out this time around.
I don’t like automated and randomised systems, honestly. The more we get, the more we want.
RDF wasn’t solely responsible for WoW’s downfall, but it was certainly a major player. There’s a reason why it was nerfed so heavily in Legion and beyond.
The same who are crying about RDF are so the who play this game to make friends because they are unable to make friends IRL.
That’s it, because you have a problem IRL you force us to play like you.
Lol …
also
It wasnt … they only introduced M+ that you have to join manually … and even that, you could do like M+8 with blind randoms and still cheese through it … something like M+5 is somewhere around TBC level of heroics …
I can understand that but that would also mean that Blizzard was just not the best in terms of balancing things. From what I’ve heard the crowd control skills were basically required for Heroics yes? If so the fact that not all classes or at least classes within specific role have some reliable means for it is an oversight. I mean with RDF it can lead to Fail state groups but even without it, that will just lead to certain classes being barred from content by players anyway.
i mean…its more or less the same thing as we have now…you get no social interaction either with the current tool and atleast with rdf people from less populated realms would have higher chances of doing low level dungeons because rdf was cross realm iirc…idk just saying…i play on mograine horde so i had people to group up with even in outland dungeons
aaa…yea…wow s downfall started with cata…id argue that rdf was the least factor for that considering all the bad changes that came with cata
As would any sane person.
There was so much terrible crap from Cataclysm that the few good things were completely overshadowed.
CC wasn’t mandatory. It helped a great deal, any form of utility did. But the playerbase tried to ignore everything and plow through them they they do with WoTLK heroics.
That’s what everybody else here keeps saying yet I’ve had no problems chatting to people whilst running dungeons.
Levelling dungeons also scale to your characters level, and the elite mobs in dungeons are significantly stronger in comparison to playerpower than they are in WoTLK.
If RDF was added to WoTLK, people would completely blast though the whole levelling process. And then people would complain that the world feels empty because everybody is dungeon grinding for levels.
The world is empty now aswell due raid logging these days. Especially the 0-70 zone is just dead. I think we all agree that rdf wouldnt matter if it was implemented for the lvl 15-70.
Yeah but the same thing is true for RDF.
xDDD
easier … you wanted to say easier … not to mention now they are even easier because lvl 10 char whos missing half of their kit needs to be able to clear something like tbc dungeons or grimrail depot
You mean like those that are prevented to function with friendly nameplates in dungeons/raid or those that barely work and also only for certain classes because it’s much more difficult to script the functionality since Classic is using retail architecture for the client.
I play Classic because I thought that Blizzard will treat the game seriously and provide high quality game, incomparable to any PS out there.
The number of glaring bugs and glitches I’ve encountered so far however, left me kinda disappointed.
Maybe it’s foolish of me, but I still believe that official game is better than some knee-stitched private server some rookie programmer provide to improve his coding skills. People are spending money on this, game devs are being paid to maintain the game. It had to be better, right?
no
10char10char
Depends on your realm I guess? I still saw plenty of people through 1-68 on Gehennas, then at 68+ I saw plenty of bots.
No, I wanted to say stronger. First boss of RFC in retail has around 15k health. First boss in RFC on Classic, TBC and WoTLK has around 1.5k.
Sure, retail has stronger player power at lower levels due to getting your core ability at lvl10; but that doesn’t equate to you being 10x stronger.
