I stop queuing at 60 & cycle another alt, because what’s the point knowing endgame for unrated, in unrated content is permanent Fodder status?
I’d try solo queue if it got developed, but idk if it would stop the gear disparity in Randoms. I personally don’t care one iota about rating, so making access to rated gear easier via solo-queue probably wouldn’t stop me sticking to unrated content. I feel SQ is being a bit hyped to make queuing smoother for pugs, not to solve the disparity ‘issue’.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect/provide a more balanced experience for those who want it.
-Let people create their own brackets? (cross-faction lfg)
’180-200ilvl’ bracket / 227 bracket / 150-170 bracket / 0-227 bracket’ (doubt many peeps would queue into the last one, but could be wrong).
But I’m a little disillusioned with WoW now & I’ve already got one foot out the door. When I get bored of cycling alts I’m probably going to throw in the towel, so there’s really no point catering to people like me at this point anyway.
No-one respects PSG players because they have signed for a team that roflstomps the French league almost every year. Current gear system treats Rated like it’s Champions League and casual PVP like it’s French league.
That my point of the topic : if there is a soloqueue of RBG, that could be solved. But due in Random Battlegrounds there’s no systems of ranking, we still face them.
No it didnt. You could easly outskill more geared players back in classic and TBC becouse difference between fresh lvl 70 and fully bis geared lvl 70 wasnt 10000%.
That’s not entirely true. The only gear locked behind rating in TBC and WotLK were set pieces and weapons. Every off set item was readily available for CP without rating requirements.
We had stat templates in Legion PvP where everyone was almost equal ±10%, and we all know how hard PvP’ers cried that they cant own low geared people in random bg’s.
The i would like it to rework gearing systems while implementing a solo queue systems.
1st you start with random battlegrounds, to get enougth honor and then you spam ranked battlegrounds that give conquest and more honor.
So at least it push people to do RBG and they can still gear.
Also to delete ranking requirement to push gear ilevel.
As long you do ranked PvP you should be able to up your gear and not being stuck because you can’t get above due to LFG reason.
Yeah gl with your 2h+ queue times. If you will match games based not just mmr but also on their itemlvl you will end up looking half of day for single game.
I dont want to sound rude or pessimistic but gear doesnt matter when you face balance druids.
I saw a high versa pvp trinket ret paladin (you know those who heals to 100% every 3 seconds) get killed so fast by an unbuffed balance druid in a bg it made me uninstall the game myself.
This game isnt working well… Even with a template balance druids would still global every single player.
Activision needs to lower the bosses income and hire some pvp devs with an iq higher than 80.
Thats the only way.
Pvp is a * mess. Its ruined. Its worse than classic. Balance druids are taking over bgs now because its a spec that completely ignores gear itself.
Solo or duoqueue, or a megaban to premaders with achies stripped off, and a set ilvl would help a bit, but Blizzard need to * hire ten pvp devs because even with these changes, balance druids would still global players.
Also make abilities work in bgs and arena in a different way. Nerf classes in bgs but let them be ”balanced” in 3v3. Or just remove arena and add 5 man bgs for rated or something…
Yeah but gear wasn’t as impactful as it is now, yeah in wrathful season some specific PVE items gave an edge but the difference wasn’t as huge as it is now. Even in cata you could still reach 2200+ while in epics from the previous season. The difference between honor and arena gear in Cata was 13 item levels (can’t remember exactly the weapon, though) and it felt less of a difference that it is right now.
So its fun to being overgeared and Stomp, its fun to being low geared and being decoy …but its not fun to have similar gear as opponent, because its boring.
Right. In my opinion. If I wanted equal and fair PvP with skill and composition and communication being the factors of importance, then I’d play any of the other million PvP games on the market. The reason I play WoW is because it has gear. That’s the only thing that makes WoW unique and different and appealing. Remove the gear and WoW PvP is just a crappier version of a wannabe MOBA.
