Read Swifty's response

Why did you destroy the man without even hearing his story? Have you even read his response? He has the response on his twitter. Is it really THIS EASY to destroy someone??? What is going on should we all be very afraid of saying stuff to other people? Like if I get in argument with my gf or ex gf should I be afraid to say anything but let her say things to me just in case someone bans me from somewhere or something? I did bad wording there but I hope you know what I meant.

I won’t even bother mentioning all the locked ones. Go voice your opinion in one of those threads and stop creating new ones.

Seems like I triggered a nerve in these forum dwellers :joy::joy::joy:. Sorry council of no life I just want to say that before you accuse someone check his story first and proof. Also if you get mad reading these just ignore I dont know but if you cant ignore these and read some other topic then bruh idk what to say…

Worked for high elves.

Granted there was also the megathread. But it’s undeniable that it was a constantly spammed topic.

Cancel and trial by public opinion culture that is why and frankly it sucks.

Innocent until proven guilty and convicted in court.

I fo not care at all what drime somebody is accused of. If there is no proof nobody has the rightbto ruinbthat person’s life.

Libel laws are IMHO a must and need to be enforced, especially against false accusers - especially in accusations of rape.

IMHO accusers should face the same punishment the accused would face if convicted

I’ve read some of the accusers proof screenies. Some already confirms why i hate social media people like them.

They literally indicate that they CRAVE this attention, thus they know full well people will get them it with their accusation nonsense later. They only do it for ATTENTION!

Lol, ok dude.

Yes, yes it is. Social media has shown the bloodthirsty side of humans. In the medieval ages they burned people alive, luckily now they just ā€œroastā€œ them online.

Little brains are quick to judge, their meaningless lives crave the slightest thread of sensational.

Well I think you have comprehensively shot yourself in the foot there, but I will step in with the mercy shot…

You generally don’t go down well, if making an appeal to reason, if you insult the people you are trying to reason with . For example, very few Court cases end well, if the defendant is asked if they plead guilty or not guilty and respond with ā€œI don’t care what you think, you no lifer!ā€

Judges hate that sort of thing, Juries don’t like it, and everyone else goes ā€œI automatically don’t like the Defendant who seems like a rude personā€

It basically makes you look petulant and childish. Avoid that at all costs.

I won’t get into the Swifty case, because neither I, nor you are a judge in that case privy to the evidence (Unless you actually are a judge in that case privy to the evidence, in which case posting on a public forum about a standing legal matter will cost you your licence to practice Law)

I do know they have disrupted the game, and deserved their original ban, for which they were unrepentant, and so far whether guilty or not, they have had a detrimental effect on the game.

We should not glorify the cult of the idiot. By ā€˜idiot’ I do not mean Swifty personally, I mean people who encourage idiocy. Which he did.

So, I don’t know whether he is right or wrong in these accusations, but I do know that even aside from those accusations, he is the sort of person I would like to see Banned, because of their negative actions on the game.

Yes, it just takes some chick to say ā€œhe hit on me and i didn’t want that!ā€ (like, imagine a man hitting on a woman. How dare he?! Preposterous!) and instead of just saying no accuse him of molesting and you ruin him financially and socially. Might not even be true but it doesn’t matter. Companies like Blizzard just shush ever since me too instead of waiting for actual evidence.

I strongly advice Swifty to do it like Justin Bieber right now. He got accused of rape himself and is now actively sueing the person since he can apparently present proof that it’s not true. Just read in some news.

Or maybe read the forum’s rules?

Not saying he’s guilty or not guilty, i’d leave that in the middle.

BUT…
If i were accused of such behaviour i’d deny such allegations as well?

There’s not many people in court pleading guilty unless they know they get a lesser sentence if they got caught red handed and there’s no way about it else.

But the stories concerning Swifty and the whole method business as well, i think it’s odd that just now these things are getting ā€œrevealedā€.

To me it feels something more in the lines of ā€œI got spurned by the one(s) i idolized and now i’m going to take revenge by nuking their reputation #metoo that reputation like it’s nobodies business!ā€

Personally i think people should step back and let the authorities investigate and handle this whole soap series story, but that’s just me.

Ohhhh my sweet summer child, you think it’s just now people started doing this?
Watch or read some stuff concerning politics and big companies on how they tried to sabotage and destroy the opposition(s) reputation.

A (Good) Reputation is ruined in seconds and takes ages to build.

Just pointing out, thats not actually a reportable offence. That simply isn’t how it works. Just asking a woman or man out isn’t any sort of criminal offence as long as there is no touchy! Might be socially awkward if they say no, but eh, its not an offence…

A reportable offence isn’t required to ruin someone’s good name, reputation, career. Just ask Steven Galloway.

At least he as well filed for defamation. Swifty should do the same and sue the girl for damages.

Well, no, it is. I mean it kind of famously is. ā€œSo and So asked me out and I said Noā€ is vastly different to the accusations being levelled. Thats the whole point here…
