Realm Layering Update – English

I tried on Bloodfang and world defense channel do not work yet, even without layers

This is ri-di-cu-lous! I quested with pure pleasure before… and now? Simple quest in Badlands to kill rock elementals took me 2 hours! And did not even completed it (still 6/10 quest-items). Every respawn point is camped by ally player.
This is not healthy! This is not fun! And most certainly, this is NOT vanilla experience I had back in 2005.

Exactly what I say.
Send more Normal realms. Please!

Yes I agree too.
I came here to play WoW, not wait WoW.
I tried killing some dinos. I could not.
Not al players live in shiny cities. I did not check my framerate, but I know frow experience that when someone summons a mount, and I see the mount bareback before they mount, my framerate is like 3 or at least below 10. This has happened. And not only once.
Then I joined a group. Maybe I tagged 3 of the 30 dinos we killed. I left group with a bad taste.
I do not play WoW to be carried through contents either.
As Dreg says:

This is not healthy! This is not fun! And most certainly, this is NOT the vanilla experience I had.

Please give us more normal realms.

good news.

No layers mean that all the players will play at the same place? So harder to take some quests like escort or mob with rare spawns? Maybe it’s good for 60 level players, but what about us, the casuals?

No, the idea is that with 2 layers you have 2 realms of population. With one layers there is no more than 1 layer of population so in theory you should see small changes in players count out in the world (more in cities). If they merge layers bit earlier then you may have like 1.5 layers worth of population in one layer.

I think we say the same thing?

I don’t see big problems to remove the last layers. Full or not, ppl seems spread enough at this time (mostly in the 40-60 bracket now). Go for that asap. Thanks

Really good change to display layers. I can imagine that Firemaw, Shazz and Goel will be the last ones but I’m glad it’s only two and you can notice ur very well on the economy, prices are going up.

I do highly recommend opening the paid services that vanilla also offered, before phase 2. You win money, customers are happy and everyone wins something. Everything has a consequence but with this it allows more good than bad.

I preferred to have my a=ss kicked before i even noticed it

each to their own

I don’t like layering but servers are currently too crowded. Questing on Hydraxian has been nearly impossible this weekend because there were far took many people there. Even in areas were you hardly met any one during Vanilla. It’s no fun sharing 20 quest mobs for drops with 5 people.

You guys wanted higher server caps to lower ques. Now you got what you asked for. Congrats!

I’v been asking for more Normal and RP servers since Name reservation began. So no, I have not gotten what I asked for.
All Normal realms + RP is at High or Full if you log in at the times people with a normal job and family have time to play. And that is so not OK.
Please Blizzard. Open more Normal realms!

The active population all realms have been going down steadily, so in time we will have decent server pops i guess

Numbers, please.
Everybody keep repeating and repeating this. But the Normal servers are as overpopulated, or even more so than in the first weeks. I know … layers, but /who do not take layers into account.
And do I really have to wait 2 maybe 3 months to play a game just because people possible-maybe-perhaps is going to drop off down the line?

Noone got numbers, but i just have to take a look at my guild tab and see how many people were offline for more than 2 weeks, or my friendlist, where i havent seen certain ppl online in days.
Also, ques are gone for the most part (well returning a bit with the removal of layers).

Also i am talking about ACTIVE population.

You know that neither your friendslist nor your guild do necessarily represent an overall development but are only a subjective glance. I could also say that everyone on my friendslist are still playing, some having started just recently and some other people I know are still thinking about starting. That also is just a subjective glimpse. We don’t know if numbers are currently going down and we don’t know if numbers will go down. And by the way, the RP community was asking for more servers even before release. So no, none of us got what we were asking for.

Subjective glance, ofc it is subjective, but noone got hard data, that is all we can go fore. Also, the fact that ques were consistantly dropping until they started removing layers is proof for my feeling.
I should have elaborated. The ppl that complained earlier are probably silent now. Currently a different group is complaining. This is proof thst you cant (and should) not please everyone at once.
